Real justice is yet to be found in the unpredictable and fast-paced world of “Blood vs Duty,” but with certainty, Marcus (Richard Gutierrez) and Jalil (Gerald Anderson) are doing everything they can to attain it. In anticipation of the finale, the cast members took some time thinking about the best way they wanted the show to wrap up.

Before anything else, Gerald Anderson honored the hardships and compromises that the protagonists Jalil and Marcus endured prior to discussing the importance of a greater sacrifice. “Siyempre sanay tayo sa laging happy ending na mga teleserye. But there has to be a sacrifice because ganun sa totoong buhay,” Gerald explained.

A staggering spectacle for the finale piqued Baron Geisler’s interest, though he went into greater detail about the meaning the show should impart, particularly about family and duty. “‘Yung may makuha sila sa kuwento na moral story talaga,” Baron conveyed.

For the ecstatic Jaime Fabregas, he would prefer a beautiful resolution filled with hope for the audience, something he learned from a director. “Kapag meron kayong kinukuwento sa bandang dulo dapat matapos kayo nang may pag-asa,” Jaime shared.

Rommel Padilla expected the evil side to be defeated, believing that this would be the ultimate outcome of the episodes.

When addressing the major antagonist, Bodjie Pascua envisioned severe consequences for his own character, General Carillo, precisely because he was hoping for viewers to experience a catharsis when they finally witness the general’s long-awaited downfall.

In the words of Elmo Magalona, he would like for his character, Harold Rustia, to reunite with his departed Task Force Alpha teammates. “‘Kung nabuhay si Harold, sana nabuhay rin ‘yung grupo na nakasama [niya] sa umpisa,” Elmo said.

Meanwhile, Junjun Quintana additionally put an emphasis on the relevant social knowledge that the show aimed to deliver not just to the public but also to the actors involved. “To fight for a cause that would benefit everyone… Palaging sinasabi ni Direk FMR (FM Reyes) sa amin, we would like to end with a positive note sa mga bagay na dapat matutunan din ng mga viewers namin,” Junjun stated.

LA Santos shared the same sentiment as his co-stars when fulfilling a significant acting role, especially as he portrayed the realities of being a reputable public servant. He then hinted about what was to come, announcing that he was happy and proud that the show’s final chapter met his expectations.

Other than that, Lou Yanong was eager to find a balance between the realistic qualities found in a heartbreaking finale and the satisfaction once justice is achieved by the characters.

River Joseph then moved more towards a blissful ending, most importantly for the brothers Marcus and Jalil. Making room for a small joke, he then wished for his character, Andre Flores, to remain alive until the last episode. “Lately, lahat ng mga shows na kasama ako, lagi akong namamatay sa huli,” he quipped.

Both Ace Carrera and Binsoy Namoca emphasized positive expectations, with Ace desiring a meaningful resolution and Binsoy hoping for the entire cast to gather in one place.

Finally and certainly not least, Raul Montesa summarized what everyone would like to witness throughout the finale. “Lahat ng masasama magbayad, [it’s] accountability,” he remarked.

Which of these desired outcomes will actually happen? Don’t miss the upcoming finale of “Blood vs Duty,” streaming on iWant and airing weeknights at 8:45 pm on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
