Even after getting recognized for their magnetic auras and impressive acting performances, the star-packed lineup of “Blood vs Duty” remains humble by holding onto their unforgettable memories of being in the presence of their favorite celebrities.

Getting started with Raul Montesa, who is also known as Colonel Dionisio in the teleserye, the last instance in which someone made him feel totally starstruck was during the time he worked alongside Megastar Sharon Cuneta in the 2023 MMFF entry titled “Family of Two.”

“I haven’t seen her in like 20 years. We did this movie in 2003, “Kung Ako Na Lang Sana,” and that was very special to me [because] it was my first film,” Raul mentioned.

While unwinding from his troubled Felix persona, Baron Geisler fondly recounted conversing with the acclaimed director Mikhail Red, who directed a number of thought-provoking films such as “Birdshot,” “Deleter,” “Eerie,” and “Dead Kids.”

“Ang ganda lang ng creative genius niya ‘pag mag-eexplain ng isang istorya… I’m the type of guy na parati akong student. Gusto ko lagi akong may natututunan araw-araw,” Baron explained.

Bringing a humorous element to the interview just after the major surprises involving his role as Datu Rahman, Jaime Fabregas made a joke about being starstruck by himself. “Kaninang umaga lang nung tumingin ako sa salamin,” he said with a laugh.

The promising actors behind Special Investigations Division’s (SID) IT specialists, Binsoy Namoca and Ace Carrera, had a similar appreciation for having the opportunity to work with the idols they most admired.

Binsoy remembered the very first time he was mesmerized by the sight of the Box Office Queen Kathryn Bernardo, whereas Ace spoke about his heartfelt respect toward his castmate Barbie Imperial, who currently plays the character of Jamilah Abubakar. “Nasubaybayan ko rin ‘yung naging istorya ng buhay niya [since PBB]... Sobrang approachable and mabait. Talagang wine-welcome niya ako bilang bagong artista,” Ace expressed.

Moving on to the newest version of Task Force Alpha, River Joseph described seeing the goddess-like visuals of Marian Rivera, while Lou Yanong passionately talked about meeting the incredibly versatile actress Jodi Sta. Maria.

LA Santos followed up with compliments for Richard Gutierrez and Gerald Anderson, both of whom were the main heroes of the show as Agent Marcus Reyes and Jalil Abubakar. “Grabe sila sumuporta at makisama sa mga kapwa artista nila, [sa] crew, at [sa] production [staff],” he elaborated.

When it came to Gerald, he put more emphasis on voicing his deep respect for both veteran actors and newcomers, particularly in situations where he had come across actors from noteworthy projects he had recently watched. “Dapat hindi nawawala ‘yan… It’s also a show of admiration sa ibang artista,” he clarified.

Among the original batch of TFA, Elmo Magalona, whose character was Harold Rustia, also considered Richard and Gerald celebrities that he was previously starstruck by.

Moreover, Junjun Quintana, likewise known as Sean Suarez in “Blood vs Duty,” did not identify anyone but stated that he tends to be amazed by many artists, particularly those who he had not yet collaborated with throughout the 16 years of his career. “I always treat myself as a newbie, as a student, each time I get a new project,” Junjun commented.

Bodjie Pascua, recognized as the antagonist General Carillo, held the same opinion as Junjun and Gerald but focused on being fascinated with the veteran actors he enjoyed watching in his younger years, eventually turning out to become friends with them.

To top it all off, Rommel Padilla, perfectly suited for the role of Director Azuelo, praised Richard and Baron but also took pride in the entire cast. “Halos naman lahat ng mga nakasama ko dito [sa ‘Blood vs Duty’], na-starstruck ako sa kanila,” he responded.
