Desperate to raise money for the medical expenses of his beloved father, Rudy (Joey Marquez), Gabo (Coco Martin) and his friends agreed to go with Tolits (Jerald Napoles) and Binoy (Nikko Natividad), who both claimed to know a place where they can quickly earn a substantial amount of money.
The group soon arrives at a gay bar, where they are all hired on the spot. Tolits and Binoy become macho dancers, Ipe (Bassilyo) and Bong (Smugglaz) are assigned as waiters, Tekla (Sue Ramirez) and Daboy (Mammoth Estroso) work as kitchen helpers, while Gabo lands the role of a hosto, or male entertainer.
Despite having just joined their group that day, Tolits and Binoy easily earn Gabo's trust by helping the group find a source of income and even offering to hand over all of their earnings to support his father's treatment.
Later, while entertaining a group of gay customers led by Mama Franny (John "Sweet" Lapus), Gabo witnesses Tolits, Binoy, and Daboy being ridiculed as they perform onstage. Unable to tolerate the insults, he immediately comes to their defense, saying, "Mababait na tao po 'yan. Mga kaibigan ko 'yan. Pumasok lang ho dito 'yan para tulungan ako."
However, in spite of what he just had told them, the customers continue to mock his friends, especially when Daboy suddenly appeared onstage, further pushing Gabo to the brink of losing his composure.
