Despite his busy schedule, JM went the extra mile to make the occasion unforgettable, pouring his time and effort into crafting an intimate and breathtaking promposal for Fyang—one that left fans swooning and even more excited for their prom appearance.
While gearing up for their upcoming microdrama series “Will You Fake Marry Me?” on iWant, JM shared a behind-the-scenes look at how he planned the unforgettable promposal. Following their shoot, he whisked Fyang away to an exclusive spot at the Manila Yacht Club, where a romantic surprise had been carefully prepared just for her.
Fyang had absolutely no idea what was about to unfold. Believing it was just another part of their day’s schedule, she went along with the team as usual. Meanwhile, JM played it cool, keeping the surprise under wraps as Fyang remained blindfolded and completely unaware of the magical moment waiting for her.
Then came the kilig-filled promposal. As Fyang stood on one side of the yacht, she slowly removed her blindfold and was greeted by the sight of JM waiting for her, holding a sign that read, “Prom date, tara?”—a unique and charming twist on the classic prom invitation. The moment her eyes landed on him, she couldn't hide her joy, her face instantly lighting up with happiness.
Fyang later joined JM on the yacht, where a beautifully curated setup awaited them, highlighted by a heart-shaped floral arch that served as the perfect backdrop for the special moment. Adding to the magic was their sunset dinner, with warm orange hues painting the sky and creating an intimate, cozy atmosphere.
JM then presented Fyang with a bouquet of flowers and with a bright smile, she finally gave her answer: “Yes.” It was her sweet acceptance of JM’s invitation and a promise to attend the Star Magical Prom with him by her side.
JM also shared a heartfelt message for Fyang: “Alam ko naman naiisip mo na hindi ko naman ’to kailangang gawin, pero hindi lang ’to para sa prom date. At least makakapahinga tayo sa sunod-sunod na trabaho.”
He sincerely expressed that beyond the prom invitation, he simply wanted Fyang to experience the same happiness she brings to so many people.
The two later enjoyed a special meal together as the yacht gently sailed along the shore, making the evening even more memorable. The beloved pair also shared that the upcoming event would be their very first prom experience, as neither of them had the chance to attend one back in school. “Hindi ko siya naranasan dati, kasi ikaw pala ang magpaparanas sa akin,” Fyang sweetly told JM.
When asked about his preparation for the invitation, JM shared that he carefully planned the surprise with the help of the production team to ensure everything would turn out just right.
Fyang later admitted that she isn’t sure what to expect on prom night, but with JM by her side, their first prom together is set to become a cherished memory—one of the most special moments they will hold close as a pair.
