Beyoncé’s talent and artistry have left a lasting mark on music, establishing her as one of her generation’s most influential artists. She has released hit after hit, many of which have also become karaoke staples here in the Philippines.
Her powerhouse energy shines even brighter on “Your Face Sounds Familiar,” where she has been transformed and embodied seven unforgettable performances.
Jay R (YFSF Season 1, 2015) - “Single Ladies”
Who would have thought that an RnB artist like Jay R would become Beyoncé for a night? He wowed everyone with his sass and popstar vibe while singing to “Single Ladies,” with even his close friend Kyla watching him from the audience.
Calling him “Jay-Oncé,” Judge Sharon Cuneta found the production awesome, “I couldn’t imagine how you were gonna do it. That was not an easy thing. Maganda siya, ang galing,” she conveyed. Judge Jed Madela was impressed by how well Jay R danced, following the choreography of the song.
Judge Gary Valenciano mentioned how he could not believe Jay R pulled off such a transformation. He highlighted Jay R’s confidence and commitment, which made him more convincing.
Jay-R placed 3rd at the end of the season.
Denise Laurel (YFSF Season 2, 2015) - “Crazy In Love”
Turning the finale showdown of “YFSF” into a mini concert experience, Denise Laurel took things to a different level as she hit the stage with her version of Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love.” Her energy not only hyped up the jury but also the entire audience, who were pumped up by her number.
Denise became the grand winner of the season, which also marked her first win throughout the entire competition.
Nyoy Volante (YFSF Season 2, 2015) - “Beautiful Liar“ with KZ Tandingan
Nyoy unleashed his inner diva as he paired with KZ Tandingan in a duet of the hit “Beautiful Liar,” withthe latter transforming into Shakira while Nyoy embodied Beyoncé. The two maximized their joint slayon stage, with the judges enjoying every bit of their number.
The judges were mesmerized by Nyoy. Judge Sharon Cuneta admitted she did not expect it,“Napakaganda ni Nyoy na Beyoncé. Nagulat ako.” She also praised him as a performer and highlightedhow KZ was able to keep up with his charisma.
Elha Nympha (YFSF Kids Season 1, 2017) - “Love On Top”
Elha definitely had it all as she belted out the iconic song “Love On Top.” She proved her vocal stim,hitting the high notes effortlessly. Beyond this, Elha also looked every bit the pop icon, from her costumedown to her makeup.
“Eksaktong eksakto na nagaya mo si Beyoncé,” remarked Judge Ogie Alcasid. He also emphasized howwell Elha used her inner ear, which helped elevate her performance. Judge Gary Valenciano praised Elhafor knowing her limits as an artist, “Now, I think tonight, you are a complete champion,” he said.
Finally, Judge Sharon Cuneta noted how Elha, despite singing and dancing at the same time onstage, dida great job, “Wala kang pagkakamali, lahat nakuha mo. I loved your performance.” She added that Elhacaptured the singer’s nuances perfectly.
Elha placed 2nd at the end of the season.
Sheena Belarmino (YFSF Kids Season 2, 2018) - “Run The World”
Sheena ran the spirit high with her “Run The World” act at the “YFSF Kids Grand Showdown,” proving her versatility one last time as a ka-Familiar. Cheers were already loud for Sheena as soon as she stepped out of the ‘iconator,’ and grew even louder when she started hitting the moves and high notes like Beyoncé.
Judge Sharon Cuneta clearly enjoyed what Sheena delivered, her excitement ignited. “Gagaling at gagaling ka lang lalo,” she said, expressing how she cannot wait to see Sheena grow and develop as a performer and artist. Judge Ogie Alcasid described Sheena in one word, “Kagila-gilalas. You are amazing, you won the world tonight,” he said.
Lastly, Judge Gary Valenciano applauded Sheena for always giving her hundred percent in every transformation, “You are not just an ordinary 12-year-old, you are a 12-year-old wonder woman. You are amazing, Sheena.”
Sheena placed 4th at the end of the season.
Matty Juniosa (YFSF Season 3, 2021) - “One Night Only” with Enzo Almario and Lucas Garcia of iDolls
Their trio were the perfect contenders to embody the group Dreamgirls, with Matty Juniosa channelingBeyoncé for an electrifying spectacle. Matty blended seamlessly with Enzo and Lucas, making it feel asthough we were watching the Dreamgirls themselves. By the end of their presentation, iDolls received astanding ovation from the jury.
Judge Ogie Alcasid told the three that they gave an absolutely entertaining rendition, “Para akong nanonood ng Las Vegas show, at ‘yung attitude ninyong tatlo ang ganda-ganda.” For Judge Gary Valenciano, coordination was what shone most in their number, saying that they truly acted as one.
“You were really in your element,” said Judge Sharon Cuneta. She also noticed how genuinely the three were feeling the performance, which made her love their stage presence even more.
iDolls placed 4th at the end of the season.
Jason Dy (YFSF Season 4, 2026) - “Crazy In Love“
With one final attempt to reach the top, Jason Dy lays all his cards on the table with his own take on Beyoncé as he performs “Crazy in Love,” complete with full-on production that brought the house down and had the jury on their feet. As the season came to a close, Jason shared that the biggest lesson he learned was to trust himself more—all thanks to “YFSF.”
Ano bang hindi mo kayang gawin?” asked Judge Klarisse De Guzman, who admired his talent. “’Yung pinakita mo ngayon, sobrang Beyoncé na Beyoncé.” She added that Jason’s commitment and immense talent are what make her a fan of him. Judge Erik Santos said the jury’s standing ovation was truly well-deserved, “This is how you start a grand finale. That was excellent and breathtaking.”
Judge Ogie Alcasid believes no one can outwork Jason. “Grabe ‘yung sipag mo, yung fire mo today nagliliyab para sa akin,” he said, expressing how proud he was of him. Recalling Jason’s impressive track record throughout the show, Judge Gary Valenciano remarked, “You have always reached new heights. You gave a wow-thousand percent.”
