After revisiting ZylveriX Limited, Marcus (Richard Gutierrez) swiftly returns to his office to investigate the existing body-cam footage recorded during Task Force Alpha’s breached Zamboanga mission. As soon as he identifies a critical detail, he reaches out to Director Azuelo (Rommel Padilla) for help.
In spite of Director Azuelo’s skepticism, Marcus carries on to explain his recent findings, particularly with the trajectory of the bullets being fired from the opposite side of the island and not from Task Force Alpha's position. Marcus also mentions the ballistic report, which revealed that the bullets retrieved from the location where Datu Rahman (Jaime Fabregas) was suddenly abducted originated from the same military and police-grade guns used at the island.
Baffled, Director Azuelo slowly walks away from Marcus, saying that syndicate operations are too rampant for them to handle. Marcus further argues that it isn’t a mere gun-smuggling operation, but rather, there are powerful people assisting these syndicates.
More speculations are unpacked by Marcus, including the possibility of his team’s actions while in search of Datu Rahman being monitored as well as an internal breach inside NLEA and the Special Investigations Division. More than doubts this time, Director Azuelo finally admits that he can’t risk the stability that his promotion and retirement will bring for his family.
As his last plea before walking away, Marcus stresses that their hands are smeared with the blood of innocent people. With bits of his conscience resurfacing, Director Azuelo surprisingly calls for Marcus again, giving him another chance to prove his claims.
Will Director Azuelo fully regain his trust in Marcus? Find out in “Blood vs Duty,” streaming on iWant and airing weeknights at 8 PM on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
