The troubled times do not cease to strike Marcus (Richard Gutierrez), as after he comes across protesters and struggles with the grief of his colleagues’ deaths, he is summoned by an outraged Director Emil (Rommel Padilla) as a result of Marcus hastily interrogating Datu Rahman (Jaime Fabregas).
When Marcus arrives, he offers an apology to Director Emil while also reasoning that he needed to find out the truth urgently given that the CCTV footage at the hospital, which may have captured the identity of Oliver’s (Geoff Eigenmann), Patrick’s (Antonio Aquintana), and Russel’s (Dino Imperial) killer, had all been deleted.
He disagrees with Director Emil’s assumption that Datu Rahman’s accomplices could have been accountable for the deaths of the Task Force Alpha members. Marcus then points out that his group was deliberately silenced given that they possess valuable information regarding the flawed Zamboanga operation.
In the same way, Director Emil puts the fault on Marcus, arguing that the interference in Task Force Alpha’s mission was unbelievable and that Marcus is only covering up his mistakes, resulting in the degradation of NLEA’s reputation and Datu Rahman gaining support from the public.
As the final option, Marcus receives a suspension and is commanded to surrender both his badge and gun until all issues have been cleared up.
