Stella (Kim Chiu) had a heart-to-heart talk with Sonya (Lotlot Bustamante) in the April 13 episode of “The Alibi.”
As Sonya cleans up the mess on the table, she is delighted to see Stella arrive home. She offers her some food she cooked earlier, and later notices the wary look on Stella’s face, she asks if she is okay, and Stella answers reluctantly.
“Aling Sonya, darating kaya ang panahon na may pipili din sa akin? Kahit alam ko naman na may toyo din ako minsan,” Stella asks. Sonya relates herself to Stella's situation, recalling the same thought she once had with her ex-husband. “Pero naniniwala kasi ako na darating yung panahon na darating yung para sayo. Ikaw yung pipiliin niya araw-araw kahit ang hirap-hirap mong mahalin,” Sonya reassures her.
Stella agrees with Sonya’s sentiments, adding, “Kaya ako, pinipili ko na lang talaga yung sarili ko eh. Alam ko naman sa sarili ko na walang pumipili sa akin. Tingin ng karamihan, segunda mano ako.” Her remarks make Sonya think that Stella is currently having problems with her love life.
“Hindi, okay na okay kami nun,” Stella reasons out, though Sonya sees right through her. Sonya then reassures her that if she ever needs someone to talk to, she can always rely on her. Their conversation is cut short when Stella notices Katherine (Angelina Cruz) coming home later than usual, and Sonya convinces them to sit down for a meal.
