Walter (Sam Milby) was the reason behind Stella's (Kim Chiu) imprisonment in the April 10 episode of “The Alibi.”
As Ricardo (Ian de Leon) and Norman (Marvin Yap) ambush Stella, Vincent (Paulo Avelino) immediately arrives to stop them and then goes inside the house. Stella reflects on what Ricardo said about the similarities between her and Walter’s involvement with drugs. Noticing that she has fallen silent, Vincent tells her to shrug it off. “Solid tayo, wala silang makikitang butas,” he affirms.
“Pinaka-ayoko sa lahat, yung inuungkat yung nakaraan ko,” Stella tells him, adding that just because Walter had used drugs doesn’t necessarily mean they are both connected. Vincent reassures her not to worry anymore and shows her Walter’s bank statement from past transactions, something he had taken from Walter’s house the night they broke in.
The flashback shows Stella and Walter talking about their future and financial worries. Later, Walter is seen going through Stella's bags, and when Stella calls him over, he tries to leave her alone. As she attempts to stop him from leaving, Walter loses his temper. He eventually comes to his senses and apologizes to Stella. On her way home, Stella has a hunch that someone is following her. That same evening, she is captured by the authorities for drug use—and it was none other than Walter who tipped them off, setting her up.
In the present, Stella continues to check Walter's bank statements. Vincent calls her attention, telling her that Walter never got into trouble with anything related to money or drugs. Stella also learns that Claudia (Sofia Andres) is the only contact left on Walter's phone, and Vincent shares his suspicion that Matthew (Rafael Rosell) and Claudia are plotting something against him.
Walter’s betrayal has left Stella fighting not just for freedom, but for the truth. Don’t miss “The Alibi: Ang Buong Katotohanan” weeknights at 8:45PM on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, and Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube and Facebook. Stream episodes seven days ahead on iWant.
