Stella (Kim Chiu) snaps at Vincent (Paulo Avelino) after his bold kiss in front of his parents in the March 26 episode of “The Alibi.”
Vincent receives a phone call from his brother, Edward (Robbie Jaworski), who urges him to go to their family home after seeing Stella being dragged inside. As Stella protests against the bodyguard, she spots Jacqueline (Zsa Zsa Padilla) and Arthur (John Arcilla) and exclaims, “Gusto niyo lang pala akong makausap eh nag-abala pa kayo! Hindi yung pinapadukot-dukot niyo ko sa gilid ng daan.” She lashes out at the two.
When Stella demands to know what the couple wants from her, Arthur says, “Napag-alaman ko na ikaw pa rin ang nag-aalaga sa mga kapatid mo. Nasaan ang nanay mo?” Stella refuses to answer, confused as to why they needed to talk to her. Arthur convinces Stella to end her relationship with Vincent, even asking how much money she wants in exchange for doing so.
“Babayaran niyo ako para hiwalayan ko yung anak niyo?” Stella asks, as Arthur presses her to name her price. The tense Stella takes a seat, but before she can answer, Vincent arrives, furious. “No need to get hysterical, nag-uusap lang kami,” Arthur tells him. Jacqueline reminds Vincent of the damage the situation has caused him.
Vincent insists he does not need his parents’ help and that they should stop dragging Stella into their mind games. “Ginagamit ka lang niya, pineperahan, nagpapatanga ka naman?” Arthur asks, to which Vincent counters that he is deeply in love with Stella. To prove it further, Vincent pulls Stella in for a kiss, leaving her stunned. Jacqueline immediately calls their action inappropriate.
“Inappropriate? Anong tawag sa ginagawa niyo kay Stella ngayon? Wag na wag kayong lalapit kay Stella, and no one touches her ever,” Vincent firmly declares before walking away with Stella. As they leave the house, Stella slaps Vincent across the face, demanding an explanation for the kiss.
“Stella, I had to do what I needed to do. Naghihinala na sila sa relasyon natin, at dinaan ko na lang sa gulatan para wala na silang masabi,” Vincent explains. But Stella insists she doesn’t care what others think as her only concern is the money. Vincent offers her more just to keep their deal intact. “Hindi naman ako katulad niyo na mayaman eh. Para sa inyo, walang halaga sa inyo yung pera. Pero para sa amin na ginagawa ang lahat… mahalaga ang pera.” Stella adds, as it is important to aid her family, reminding Vincent that they live in two different worlds.
Their argument is interrupted when Claudia (Sofia Andres) and Bea (Ayesha Bajeta) arrive. Bea immediately asks about Stella, and Vincent explains that she is his friend. Claudia approaches sarcastically, saying, “It’s nice to finally meet Vincent’s friend.” Vincent quickly stops her from saying more, mindful of Bea’s presence. Claudia then invites Stella to join their family dinner.
