After making Filipinos proud with her victorious finish in the 2025 Reina Hispanoamericana pageant, as she was able to take home the second crown for the Philippines, singer-beauty queen Dia Mate has gone on to prove via her “Your Face Sounds Familiar” stint that there’s definitely more to her than being a pretty face and an eloquent woman—she is also a promising performer.
As the celebrity impersonation contest is about to end soon, the “Singing Reina” and her co-performers revisited their winning moments in the 4-part “The Road to the Grand Showdown” special. For Dia, her winning moment came during the sixth round when she performed “Santa Baby” by seasoned Australian singer-actress Kylie Minogue.
Clad in a sexy gold gown, shimmering jewelry, and a curly, bronde wig, she truly lit up the stage with her spot-on portrayal of Kylie and her sultry rendition of the classic holiday song. At the same time, she was also given the chance to further spread Yuletide cheer alongside her “bestie,” Rufa Mae Quinto, as they performed a snippet of her newest pop single at the time, “This Christmas (Ho Ho Ho).”
By the end of the sixth round, she didn’t just receive positive comments from the jury but a combined score of 29 points from them and her fellow celebrity performers—making her the weekly winner.
