After outsmarting the entrapment operation planned for him, Edong (Jake Cuenca) manages to drag a bloodied Crisanto (Gerald Madrid) to his mother’s tomb. The two argue intensely, with Edong becoming exceedingly pleased at the sight of Crisanto struggling.
In desperation, Crisanto attempts to flee but fails as Edong swiftly dominates him, brutally stabbing his ankle, which ultimately leaves him trapped between life and death.
Edong throws Crisanto on top of his mother’s tomb and vengefully points a gun at him. He clarifies that he has no intention of forgiving Crisanto but instead forces him to pay the price of murdering Edong and Lucas’ mother in the past.
This method for carrying out justice through Edong’s eyes was a promise he had made for his mother. Crisanto bursts the bubble, furiously questioning if Edong expects his mother to be delighted by his revenge.
Further inflaming the situation, Crisanto stresses that Edong became a person like him, a monster and a murderer, who slaughtered and is preparing to kill more women. At that exact moment, Edong’s gruesome memory of murdering the other Dolores (Malou de Guzman) resurfaces and makes him feel paranoid.
More agitated than ever, Edong protests that he isn’t Crisanto’s son, but he presses on with his mockery, insisting that if Edong’s mother were alive, she would have left him long ago.
Edong sternly gives Crisanto the order to stop talking before shooting him in the head.
