After delighting viewers with her cherished experiences working on the drama “The Alibi,” Sofia Andres looks back on her past teleserye portrayals through Kapamilya Chat's “Action Pose” challenge. Whenever one of her characters is mentioned, Sofia has to act out the phrases or nuances that make that role iconic.
Sofia began acting at the age of 14 and has starred in several ABS-CBN shows, taking on a range of characters that showcase her versatility. Among them is Vida Verdadero from “Pusong Ligaw” in 2017. Upon hearing Vida’s name, Sofia immediately recalled the line, “You’re the worst person ever!”—delivered in frustration. Adding to the nostalgia, she revealed that “Pusong Ligaw” was her first project with a loveteam, paired with Diego Loyzaga, which made it special for her.
Moving forward, it was time for Sofia to embody Kate Saavedra from the 2014 soap “Forevermore.” She recreated one of her dialogues: “Gusto ko ‘yung jam ko kasi magugustuhan ‘yun kahit ng mga hindi kumakain ng jam.” One thing Sofia would never forget while taping the series was her struggle doing heavy scenes during their location shoot in Benguet. “Nahirapan ako umiyak kasi nasa Baguio kami. We lived there for three or four months, ang lamig, so naninigas talaga ‘yung luha ko,” she admitted.
Next up was one of her recent projects, the 2022 program “The Iron Heart,” where she brought Nyx Bonifacio to life with her expression of “You used me!” The show made Sofia realize that she would love to do action again if given the chance, as it was a genre she unexpectedly discovered she enjoyed.
And finally, Sofia highlighted her role as Claudia Cabrera in the ongoing serye “The Alibi.” One of Claudia’s memorable lines to watch out for is “I’m not going back to the hellhole!”—which Sofia said with intense emotion, proving that she is a kontrabida to keep an eye on in the series.
