Just as Alice (Janella Salvador) discovers the horrific truth of her Uncle Edward (Joel Molina) being her abductor years ago, Edward arrives by the door, a wicked smile resting on his face.
Tearfully, Alice questions what kind of vile acts he has inflicted on her younger self, with Edward brushing aside the issue by saying that Alice was the person who had awakened his real identity as a man who takes advantage of children.
Edward’s disturbing attraction towards Alice started ever since she had always adored his presence as her uncle and, at times, would sweetly defend him from playful jokes about him being kind to a fault. Often, it was his close bond with his cousin Mike (Geoff Eigenmann), Alice’s father, that prevented his desire from getting out of control.
However, Edward went along with his urge the day when he encountered young Alice with her mother at the market. From there, he had lured Alice and brought her to his father’s old home, even deceived her into playing a game, but in actuality, he was binding Alice so she couldn’t escape at all.
Like a newfound ritual of his, he took a camera and snapped a photo of Alice. In an attempt to calm her down, he also gave her a glass of juice, which Alice broke at her strong refusal. Older Alice realizes that her repetitive memory of a shattering glass was the exact situation Edward remembered.
At that fleeting moment, Edward turned furious, about to strangle her, but the clueless Mike called to inform him of Alice’s disappearance, and he rushed to hide a traumatized Alice in a dark cabinet.
Frustrated, the present Edward clarifies that he wasn’t able to continue with his malicious plan for Alice. At the time, he had looked over to his father’s photograph, yelling that he wouldn’t become abusive like him, and eventually set Alice free in the woods regardless of the possibility that his life would be ruined.
Alice was found hours later, intensely crying alone at a vacant lot.
