The closing chapter of “Roja” reminded us that despite everything that happened, solidarity and justice still prevail. We were hooked by the cast’s performances, from protagonists who warmed our hearts to antagonists who instilled fear during the hostage scenes. Yet behind these intense portrayals were bloopers that the cast themselves found hilarious.
Donny Pangilinan (as Liam) had his own slip-ups, once accidentally calling the Alicante Police Station a resort. Kyle Echarri (as Olsen) was also seen enjoying himself between takes, even during scenes with Igi Boy Flores (as Fin). Meanwhile, Kai Montinola (as Ice) and Emilio Daez (as Bogs) danced goofily while waiting for the cameras to roll. Maymay Entrata (as Luna) and Cris Villanueva (as Mike) had to cut a scene short when Maymay suddenly laughed mid-line, prompting Cris to join in.
It wasn’t just the guests and hotel staff who had these, Emil and his team also shared lighthearted moments. Bernard Palanca (as Dado) occasionally stuttered, causing Harvey Bautista (as Ian) to break character and laugh along. Bernard later joked around with Marc Abaya (as Lucas) and Joel Torre (as Emil), keeping the set lively.
Veteran stars also had their funny mishaps. Lorna Tolentino (as Greta) sometimes forgot her lines and had playful moments with Raymond Bagatsing (as Magnus). Sandy Andolong (as Connie) and Robert Seña (as Jessie) enjoyed doing scenes together, while Joel Torre often joked with his fellow goons.
These outtakes show that despite the heavy themes of the serye, the cast of “Roja” managed to bond and have fun off-camera. The finale episode also featured acknowledgments of the staff and crew who worked on and off screen, a heartfelt gratitude for everyone.
