Despite getting a strong head start after five housemates voted her as the most deserving Kapamilya housemate to advance to the Big Night of “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0,” which earned her a slot in the first Big Jump Challenge, Lella Ford was able to prove that she truly deserved a spot in The Ultimate 8 by winning the challenge on her own.
She and her challenger, fellow Kapamilya housemate and close friend Joaquin Arce, were the ones initially slated to take on the Big Jump Challenge, in which they had to rack up points by transferring colored blocks from one point to another, choosing between two different lanes that they could take and had to pass through.
It may seem easy, but what made it totally challenging was that they had to balance the colored blocks on a cylindrical handle while pacing through a maze surrounded by blue blocks that, once toppled over, would diminish their points. Since it would surely take them a lot of time to get as many ‘positive’ colored blocks as possible, both Lella and Joaquin decided to take the easier route—the black lane—in which every colored block they got to shoot would decrease the score of the opponent.
Although both of them did their best to earn points and diminish each other's points, it was Lella who turned out to be the winner. The “Blooming Bunso ng Tacloban” raked in a total of negative 212 (-212) points, while the “Rising Dreamer ng Muntinlupa” earned negative 336 (-336) points.
“Bilang part po ng Ultimate 8, gusto ko lang po talaga, Kuya, maka-inspire ng mas marami pong kabataan na katulad ko at mga kabataan na nangangarap,” Lella told Big Brother inside the confession room.
