“Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” shed light on the modern-day Kabataang Pinoy who, despite their young age, already have the courage to step up, fight for their dreams, and show their real, unfiltered selves inside Bahay ni Kuya. They may have formed the strongest bonds inside, but we cannot wait to see more of them in the outside world, including the recent evictees Carmelle Collado and Marco Masa.
In the February 25 episode of Kapamilya Chat, Marco and Carmelle dish on their “PBB” experience, recalling their fondest memories and even naming their Big Winners of the season. Later on, the two gamely shared more about the housemates and their personalities in the “Nomination Time” challenge, where they had to name a housemate who perfectly fit the prompt given.
As the challenge kicked off, Marco and Carmelle pointed out that Kapuso housemates Caprice Cayetano and Heath Jornales were the quietest, most nonchalant ones, especially during the earlier weeks. According to Carmelle, “Sobrang tahimik niya [Caprice] talaga. Naging maingay na siya kasi nasasama na siya sa’kin.” She admitted that she was the one who helped bring out that side of Caprice.
When asked how they encouraged others to show different sides of themselves, Carmelle shared that during their first group formation, where she was teamed up with Heath and Caprice in the “Caramel Ma-Cutesy” group alongside Rave Victoria, she purposely chose the two to be her groupmates to help them loosen up and find comfort with the other housemates.
For Marco, his way of getting to know the housemates, aside from sharing stories about himself, was by asking them questions to get them to open up. “Alam kong mag-e-enjoy sila to talk about themselves dahil alam kong confident sila with themselves,” Marco said.
When it came to the most competitive housemate, it was none other than Ashley Sarmiento. As for the one who intimidated them the most, Carmelle named Joaquin Arce because of his strong aura, while Marco mentioned Reich Alim. He admitted, however, that once you get to know Reich on a deeper level, you’ll discover a softness inside her.
The next prompt immediately led to Carmelle, as it asked who was the sleepyhead and the one who always meditated. On the topic of kitchen duties, Joaquin and Caprice stood out as the ones always at work. Lastly, when asked which housemate they currently miss, Marco and Carmelle answered all of them. For Carmelle, though, she misses her close friend Krystal Mejes the most, as well as Caprice and Heath, who, even before her eviction, were already sobbing for her.
After the game, the conversation shifted to their reactions in the outside world. Marco shared that he was happy to reunite with the other evictees, adding, “Ang dami kong na-miss, gusto kong makipag-hangout sa kanila, catch up, debrief.” Carmelle echoed the same sentiment.
Ships and fan edits are among the things that always go viral each season once the housemates step inside Bahay ni Kuya. Carmelle, who is currently being shipped with Kapuso star Anton Vinzon, shared her thoughts on the pairing, “Nagulat ako dun sa CarTon, unexpected talaga ‘yun.” Carmelle shared that Anton is one of the housemates she is really close with, “Kung anuman ‘yung nakita n’yo, talagang natural ‘yun,” she said.
On how they handle ships and supporters, Carmelle and Marco were very endearing to their fans. Carmelle said she is happy to be able to make viewers happy, while Marco stated, “Very appreciative lang ako sa lahat ng mga edits, mga fans. Through that, nakikita ko ‘yung pagmamahal na binibigay nila, at gusto rin namin silang mahalin pagbalik.” He added that he gives back to fans by posting more content online, something that would inspire them and make them happy.
