Liam’s (Donny Pangilinan) fury intensifies following the revelation of Greta (Lorna Tolentino) as the mastermind behind the siege in the February 23 episode of “Roja.”
News breaks that Greta orchestrated the La Playa Roja siege after Jericho (Floyd Tena) confesses to her crimes, leaving Liam full of anger and betrayal upon learning the truth. As authorities try to capture Greta, she runs back to the hospital to hide, with Liam following her. Later on, Liam urges Greta to finally face her crimes.
However, Greta insists that all the accusations against her are false. “Sinungaling sila. Mga sinungaling sila!” she cries. Liam asks her further, saying that if she truly isn’t guilty, the allegations shouldn’t trouble her. Greta questions why Liam seems to believe the speculations.
A flashback shows the moment Liam overheard Greta secretly calling Jericho, followed by his confrontation with Jericho, who hinted at Greta’s involvement before she shot him, and finally Jericho’s admission in front of them that he was not the mastermind of the siege. “Ayoko sanang maniwala, Ma. Pero kahit anong pilit ko, di ko mawala sa isip ko,” Liam confesses. He pleads with Greta to admit her crimes, but she remains silent.
Liam presses further. “Ikaw mismo ang nagsabi sa’kin na kilala mo ‘yong Jacinto,” he reminds Greta of everything that connects her to Jericho, including her knowledge of where he must have hidden Emil's (Joel Torre) money and jewelry taken from the hostages.
Greta can only apologize. “Desperada na ’ko, lubog na lubog na tayo sa utang. Hindi ko na alam kung ano’ng gagawin ko,” she pleads, trying to justify her actions. Her reasoning sends Liam into a fury. “Alam mo ba kung ilan ang namatay nang dahil dito?” he shouts, reminding her that it was never about the money, but about the lives lost in the siege.
“Patawarin mo na ’ko, anak,” Greta pleads, but Liam feels no pity for her “Hindi ka lang dapat sa’kin humingi ng tawad. Harapin mo sila.” As Liam is about to grab Greta and lead her out of the hospital, they hear footsteps approaching. They immediately hide, Greta still begging, “Ayokong makulong. Maawa ka sa’kin.”
