The February 5 episode of Kapamilya Chat was a star-packed delight for “What Lies Beneath” fans, as following their serious exchanges about their complex characters, playful hints on the series’ mysteries, and fun behind-the-scenes stories, Kaila Estrada, Sue Ramirez, Charlie Dizon, and Janella Salvador were totally absorbed in the category game.
As a refreshing way to wrap up their eagerly awaited guesting, the mini game asks the MABEL girls to select colorful cards with random questions that they must honestly answer.
On her first attempt, Janella was adorably teased by her co-stars about one random thing that recently made her smile, which had her surprised at the unexpectedly playful reactions. She then gives her response, naming Charlie, who treated her to a morning matcha drink.
Sue comes next, receiving a quirky question about a skill she would want to learn instantly. She naturally matches the cheerful tone of the inquiry and opts for the breathtaking breakdancing. Janella joins in, urging Sue to bust a few moves to showcase her dedication to the matter.
Turning a little sentimental, Charlie was given a reflective dilemma on whether to click rewind or pause if her life could be controlled by a button. Unfazed by the pressure, Charlie smilingly picks the “pause” feature, aiming to savor and appreciate many special moments in her life.
At the conclusion of the first round, Kaila responds to a career-defining question centered on the best job she had in her life. With confidence, she settles on her current profession as an actress, valuing it to a high degree, as she’d never thought she’d become successful after growing up with a shy personality.
Kaila also won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 21st Gawad Tanglaw for her teleserye “Linlang,” sharing the honor with her mother, Janice de Belen, who won for “Dirty Linen.”
“It only sank in when we were accepting it side by side… I never expected to win an award, let alone with my mom. It’s validating, sentimental… [it] made the award very special,” Kaila emphasizes.
Charlie takes the lead in the last round, sweetly explaining how she would spend her days if she never had to work again. She resonates on the topic, giddily mentioning her happy marriage with Carlo Aquino, as she hopes to become a full-time housewife should she never have to return to the workforce.
“Sobrang blessed ko sa asawa ko,” Charlie adds.
For Kaila, she talks about the best advice she came across while spending time on social media, which is to “live every day like it’s your first day.”
“It gives you that sort of appreciation for life [where] everything is new and exciting,” Kaila reasons.
Nostalgia and musical passion run deep inside Janella’s heart and mind, as she describes what she’d like to do for 2026. She stresses how much she wants to return to her roots in music, giving her all to her art, and even thinks about joining a theater production someday.
“Ayokong kalimutan,” Janella expresses.
To top off their enthusiastic guesting, Sue wonders which country she would like to visit someday. With Japan as her dream destination, she hopes to enjoy Japanese sushi with her mother.
