Uno (Joel Torre) and Liam (Donny Pangilinan) face each other’s rage in the January 5 episode of “Roja.” The two get into an intense one-on-one as they meet by the shore, pointing guns at each other, each holding a captive.
Uno holds Macky Maristella (Kobie Brown), the son of a senator, as his hostage, while Liam holds Uno’s daughter, Leni (Rikki Mae Davao)---formerly known as Smile, a worker at La Playa Roja who turned out to be a mole---as his hostage.
While Liam and Uno, alongside Tres (Bernard Palanca), continue to negotiate, Olsen (Kyle Echarri) and Magnus (Raymond Bagatsing), together with Officer Areza (Ejay Falcon) and his team, make their way toward the shore.
Uno threatens Liam and dares him to shoot Leni if he truly can. Leni is shot, and the sound of the gunfire alerts Olsen and his group, making them realize that Liam and Uno are at the Marina, then they rush toward it.
Liam continues to face Uno, “‘Yong susunod na bala, sa puso ng mahal mong si Leni [tatama].” he threatens, his words cutting deeper. Yet Uno remains unfazed, even using Macky as bait---his life hanging in the balance if Liam persists with his rage.
Uno begins to count as he and his men move closer to Liam. On the count of three, Liam is shot, giving Leni the chance to survive and reunite with her father. Luna (Maymay Entrata) is left baffled by what happened with Liam, while the remaining staff made their way onto the speedboat to aid in the escape. In the chaos, they manage to flee the resort premises, finally breaking free from Uno’s wrath.
