After ending 2025 with the shocking demise of Don Gustavo (Dante Rivero), “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” began 2026 with the unforeseen death of his granddaughter Erika—impressively played by Gillian Vicencio—who was killed by Rockyboy Mondragon (Baron Geisler) during the upheaval organized by a throng of enraged protesters expressing their disgust to their family over Brando’s (Roi Vinzon) corruption allegations against them.
As she officially departs from the primetime series that she had been a part of for almost a year, Gillian fondly and wistfully looked back on some of her unforgettable on-cam and off-cam memories via this exit interview with CCM Film Productions.
The young actress started off by revisiting a few of her most memorable scenes, which include the big scenes of the Guerrero family, such as the recent heated confrontation among Erika’s parents, brother, and grandpa that got her completely stressed out and caused her to suffer from severe bleeding.
She confessed how initially oblivious she was about what she was supposed to do, but with the help of her veteran and seasoned co-stars—namely Angel Aquino, Albert Martinez, Jake Cuenca, Dante Rivero, Chanda Romero, and Celia Rodriguez—as well as of her onscreen partner Ronwaldo, she was eventually able to figure things out. Thus, she couldn’t be more thankful to them for helping her out and guiding her, as she indeed learned a lot from them.
Gillian also mentioned the scenes of Erika and Santino at the bar where their paths first crossed and at the motel where Lucio (Ronnie Lazaro) and the Red Phoenix Group pursued them as among her most unforgettable scenes.
With regard to the biggest lesson she’d learned from the series, especially from her character, the young actress revealed that it’s going to be for us not to judge other people quickly since we are not aware of what they are going through in life. She went on to cite Erika, who beneath her strong and fierce facade was actually going through inner battles and personal challenges that she wasn’t keen on showing to other people. Her family might have perceived her as just being rebellious and careless, but it was her way of asking for their love, care, and attention. Thus, she encouraged everyone to be a little more kind towards the people around us.
Gillian then couldn’t help herself from getting emotional as she talked about how grateful she is to be part of the “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” family. She conveyed, “Sa inyong lahat sa CCM Film Productions, I just want to really thank you for everything kasi you’ve been so good to me. Everytime na nasa set ako, hindi trabaho ‘yong nararamdaman ko. I feel like lagi lang tayong nagbo-bonding kasi pamilya ‘yong trato n’yo sa akin, sa bawat artista, or sa bawat kasama natin dito.”
She continued, “So, maraming, maraming salamat sa pag-aalaga, sa patience, sa pag-guide sa akin. Thank you so much sa memories na meron tayo at sa pagkakaibigan na nabuo natin.”
Of course, she didn’t forget to thank their co-actor-cum-director for the remarkable opportunity that he had given her to be part of his work
“Salamat. Sobrang salamat kasi ang dami kong pangarap lang na makatrabaho pero dahil po sa inyo, nangyari siya. Sobrang gandang experience po nito para sa akin,” she said.
A clip of Gillian being surprised by her co-stars and of the entire staff and crew on her last day on the set of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” was also shown in this video, in which Jake handed her a cake while she was doing one of her scenes with Angel. Surprised and overwhelmed by the simple yet sweet gesture, she wasn’t able to stop herself from getting emotional as she held the cake while Angel repeatedly gave her motherly smooches on her left cheek.
In between tears, she expressed her gratitude for being bestowed the chance to work with them and with every unit of the show, as well as how much she’s going to miss all of them.
She wrapped up the interview by thanking everyone who has been supporting the series for the past three years, especially those who had always watched out for her character, Erika Guerrero.
