New year, new home and a new way to bring good vibes and world-class entertainment to Kapamilyas from all over the world!
As “ASAP” rings in 2026 at ABS-CBN’s newfound home in ALLTV2,, it made sure to throw a magnificent and spectacular celebration—just like what it always does over the past three decades—as seen in its inaugural live episode aired on Sunday, January 4.
The all-star afternoon party started with the promotional music video of “Kapamilya Channel sa ALLTV2” featuring some of the biggest stars of ABS-CBN. It extended at Studio 10 with the “ASAP” family commencing the episode with the all-star live performance of “Forever Kapamilya”, with Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Ogie Alcasid, Erik Santos, Yeng Constantino, and KZ Tandingan leading the pack.
Aside from the Kapamilya celebrities, also present in the special event as spectators were the ABS-CBN top executives, such as President and Chief Executive Officer Carlo L. Katigbak, Chief Operating Officer Cory V. Vidanes, and Star Magic and TV Production Head Laurenti Dyogi. The mainstays went on to express their gratitude and glee for their grand homecoming in ALLTV2, as well as their promise of continuously fulfilling their sworn duty of being “in the service of Filipino people” by keeping on serving and making every Kapamilya from different parts of the world happy.
Mr. Pure Energy Gary V kicked off the opening number proper with his invigorating performance of “Looking For You” by Kirk Franklin, with AC Bonifacio and Belle Mariano joining him. They were followed by KZ and Bamboo’s powerful rendition of “Happy” by Pharrell Williams and Zsa Zsa and Yeng’s feel-good performance of “Happy” by Alexia.
Darren Espanto, Robi Domingo, and Kyle Echarri—three of the five members of the parody group “Wrong Direction”—turned up the energy in the studio with their version of “Celebrate” by Pitbull. Ogie and Martin, along with Erik Santos and Sofronio Vasquez, made everyone stand up from their seats with their version of “We’re All in This Together” by the High School Musical all-star cast. Asia’s Songbird Regine then emerged onstage, belting out Jess Glynne’s “Hold My Hand”, with Jona, Alexa Ilacad, and Kai Montinola following her.
Quite fresh from his monumental “Best Actor” win in the recently held 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival awarding ceremony for his blockbuster hit film “Call Me Mother,” the “ASAP” family paid tribute to the one and only Unkabogable Phenomenal Box Office Star Vice Ganda, right after the opening number.
Pretty in her neon pink dress, she emerged onstage and thanked everyone who has shown their support for her movie, from those who watched it in the cinemas to those who helped the “Call Me Mother” production team in making it possible. She enthusiastically conveyed, “Congratulations sa ating lahat. Thank you very much [to] everyone who wished [to] and prayed for my win and [is] still celebrating my win. Maraming, maraming salamat. Panalo po nating lahat ito, mga Kapamilya.”
With how it’s been able to maintain its standing as the number 1 action-drama series in the country over the past years, not to mention being the undisputed primetime series in local television, “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” was also bestowed the recognition it highly deserves.
Their set started with one of its cast members, rapper Sisa, performing the latest theme song of the show, with her castmates and fellow rappers, namely, Bassilyo, Smugglaz, Crazymix, Flict-G, Kial, Mastafeat, and Jonas backing her up.
“Roja” stars Donny, Kyle, and Kai had the chance to talk about the series and to thank everyone who has been watching it across all ABS-CBN platforms. Apart from the ongoing series, which also includes “What Lies Beneath”, that has started airing on ALLTV2, the highly anticipated upcoming new teleserye offerings were teased as well. These are comprised of “Maalaala Mo Kaya”; the still untitled first-ever collaboration of Richard Gutierrez and Gerald Anderson; the Joshua Garcia-Ivana Alawi starrer “Love Is Never Gone”; and the “Someone, Someday” series topbilled by Kathryn Bernardo, James Reid, and Maja Salvador—which are all coming this 2026.
Some of the Kapamilya singing champions we admire went on to astound us with their showcase of vocal prowess, beginning with Elha Nympha and Jona belting their rendition of “golden hour” by JVKE. They were followed by the quartet of Darren, Khimo Gumatay, JM Yosures, and Marko Rudio, who impressed us with their mind-blowing rendition of “Beautiful Things” by Benson Boone.
“Tawag ng Tanghalan Duets” champions and musical pair Marielle Montellano and JM Dela Cerna surely brought kilig to their fans when they performed “Die With A Smile” by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga, in which they were joined by “Your Face Sounds Familiar” celebrity performers Alexa Ilacad and Jason Dy.
After the astonishing vocal acts, Belle Mariano then set the “ASAP” stage on fire as she grooved to the latest trending dance challenges, along with the new generation of Kapamilya dance idols Ken San Jose, Jeremy G, AC Bonifacio, Gela Atayde, Jameson Blake, and “Time To Dance” grand winner Ice Almeria.
Filipino global performers who have been making their mark on the international stage also conquered the show as they performed along with some of the talented Kapamilya singers whom we all love. Alexa Ilacad and Kai Montinola commenced the set with their rendition of “Defying Gravity” together with young West End star Elizabeth Lyons, with the trio of Jona, Yeng Constantino, and Bituin Escalante channeling the “Dreamgirls” in them as they belted “Love You I Do” by Jennifer Hudson. Nyoy Volante and Jed Madela were then joined by international recording artist Sofronio Vasquez in singing “The Lion King” official soundtrack, “Circle of Life.”
They received a standing ovation from the studio audience as they performed “Circle of Life” altogether by the end of their set.
To honor the legendary Megastar and OPM icon Sharon Cuneta on her milestone 60th birthday, “ASAP” ensured that the celebration was grand and fitting for a queen. World champion Jed Madela and Pop Ballad Royalty Erik Santos sang “Pangarap na Bituin” to begin the homage especially for her. The birthday celebrator then emerged onstage and rendered “Terminal” by Rupert Holmes and was later on joined by her fellow icons and closest friends in showbiz, namely, Martin Nievera, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Ogie Alcasid, and Gary Valenciano, in performing “Both Sides Now” by Joni Mitchell.
She was obviously surprised by the presence of Julia Montes, whom she didn’t expect to appear and join her in singing Don McLean’s “Birthday Song”. Everyone, including their children who were in the audience, was touched as her husband, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, performed a duet of “The Promise” with her, which they ended with a kiss.
Apart from Kiko and Julia, the Megastar also received a personal birthday message from Judy Ann Santos and Donny Pangilinan, as well as prerecorded video messages from her beloved sisters-in-law and her cherished four children.
Sharon capped off her birthday celebration on “ASAP” by expressing her gratitude to everyone who has been part of her journey throughout the 60 years, especially her sweetheart, Kiko, and blowing out the candle on her birthday cake.
The “ASAP” family wrapped up the inaugural episode for 2026 in ALLTV2 with a toast as they sang “We’re All This Together” anew.
