From once being the greatest fan of his eldest brother, Tanggol (Coco Martin), avid viewers of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” have witnessed how Santino’s (Ron Martin) perception of him gradually and significantly changed through time. He despised him so much that he threatened the life of Tanggol several times, going as far as allowing himself to be used by Rigor (John Estrada) as bait in a scheme to finally capture Tanggol and his group.
It happened after Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) begged Santino to meet with Tanggol, who was desperate to clear his name and mend their broken relationship. Still reeling from the tragic loss of the love of his life, Erika (Gillian Vicencio), and their unborn child, Santino was initially not keen to do it. However, Rigor’s relentless prodding for him to meet with Tanggol and stirring his hatred against his brother eventually pushed Santino to agree to his wicked plan.
While Tanggol was genuinely excited about their reunion, Santino didn’t feel such warmth as he remained furious at him. It was evident in the January 28 episode of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” when Santino tried to resist being frisked by Tanggol’s friends in order to ensure the safety of Tanggol. They may be able to discover that Santino was carrying a gun, but they failed to realize that they had already walked into Rigor’s carefully laid trap, as he waited for the perfect moment to strike.
As we looked forward to seeing how the long-awaited and suspense-filled reunion would unfold, CCM Film Productions offered fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the gripping sequence through one of the latest short videos it recently uploaded across its social media platforms -with Ron Martin providing an enthusiastic introduction.
The action-packed and emotionally charged sequemce were filmed at the old Philippine National Railways (PNR) train depot and were meticulously directed by Coco Martin and Richard V. Somes. While waiting for the reels to start rolling, the actors could be seen preparing for their scenes and attentively listening to their directors’ instructions, showcasing the dedication that the actors had poured into this important moment.
