Greta (Lorna Tolentino) shoots Jericho from behind before he can reveal the truth to Liam (Donny Pangilinan) in the January 21 episode of “Roja.” As Liam and Magnus (Raymond Bagatsing) hide while listening to Jericho (Floyd Tena) and Lucas’ (Marc Abaya) conversation, a shootout with the authorities breaks out, and Jericho uses it as an opportunity to escape from Lucas.
Liam, who was observing them, runs after Jericho when he realizes that Jericho is the same man Greta had previously contacted for supposed “help.” Jericho runs back to where Greta is hiding and urges her to come with him as danger closes in. “Wala na tayong oras. Umalis na tayo dito!” he tells Greta.
And just as they are about to escape, Liam waits outside, aiming his gun at Jericho. “Wag kang sasama diyan, Ma!” Liam warns Greta, insisting that Jericho is an accomplice of Emil (Joel Torre) and his team. He then threatens Jericho, “Lumayo ka sa mama ko o babanatan kita!”
Greta, however, tells him to stop. “Nandito siya para tulungan tayo,” she defends Jericho. Liam then presses her, asking if Jericho is the same man she had previously sought help from. “Pumunta ako dito sa isla para iligtas kayo,” Jericho argues in his defense. But Liam remains firm, pointing out that he saw Jericho conversing with the other goons.
“Anak, kakampi natin siya! Maniwala ka!” Greta pleads with Liam, but he remains unfazed. From behind, Greta slowly pulls out the gun she had taken from one of the deceased goons. Jericho urges Greta to explain things to Liam, which only confuses Liam further about what Greta should reveal. As Jericho walks toward Liam, Greta shoots him from behind, killing him instantly.
Liam immediately rushes to Greta and helps her escape.
