As Ponggay (Maris Racal) was supposed to inform Tanggol (Coco Martin) and his group that her colleagues from the Quiapo Police Station had already recovered the body of Bernard (Baron Geisler), whom they were able to identify as Rockyboy Mondragon, the only son of criminal couple Divina (Rosanna Roces) and Brando Mondragon (Roi Vinzon), she was tailed by her superior, PLt Hector Victorino (Aljur Abrenica).
Although Ponggay did not directly see him, she sensed that Hector was able to follow her, since he had long suspected her secret connection with Tanggol. Thus, she strongly urged Tanggol’s group to flee right at that moment, which they quickly heeded. Determined to finally apprehend them, Hector called for a backup, which subsequently arrived.
An intense chase soon ensued between the groups of Tanggol and Hector, which culminated in a nail-biting shootout at an intersection where the former and his companions were intercepted and surrounded by the latter and his subordinates. Despite being outnumbered and probably even outgunned, Tanggol and his group persistently fought back in a desperate attempt to escape the police’s entrapment operation.
