More buzz has enveloped “What Lies Beneath” as it pushes deeper into intensified revelations and twists, now reaching over sixty episodes of mind-blowing storytelling that consistently have viewers on the edge of their seats, eager to see whether their speculations about the characters finally hit the jackpot.
Among the show’s most remarkable features is the fierce acting prowess displayed by the younger versions of the leading ladies: Mutya Orquia (Louisa Mae Soria), Krystal Mejes (Erica Melendez), Allyson McBride (Beth Sevilla-Mora), Eliza Borromeo (Alice Quintana-Miller), and Reich Alim (Mel Barrera-Montenegro). Flawlessly, they also depicted a raw, tight-knit friendship that endured all the way to the final moments of their beloved friend, Louisa, as portrayed by Mutya.
As the series reached a pivotal turning point, most of the actors expressed their love for bringing the story to life—especially for the bond they shared with their fellow castmates. In this spirit, Eliza took to Instagram to sweetly share snaps that will likely become even more nostalgic as time goes by.
One standout photo that is sure to catch the eyes of netizens shows the young MABEL—Eliza, Allyson, Mutya, Reich, and Krystal—adorably squeezed into the vintage-toned frame of the seesaw near their dream house in the series.
Proving that they’re true, up-to-date Gen Zs, the girls strike charmingly wacky poses—and, of course, nail the essential “point-five” photo trend together.
They also don’t miss a chance to upload their breaks between full character get-ups, with Eliza warmly teaming up with Reich and Allyson in their Amurao High School uniforms, radiating fresh, Barbie-like vibes.
Eliza beams a lovely smile alongside the lauded Mutya, who has playfully earned “handsome” compliments from viewers after the revelation of her secret love story with young Liezel, played by Kolette Madelo.
One of the series’ leading men, the young Ryan Mora portrayed by Miguel Vergara, also receives a special mention in Eliza’s post. He flashes a peace sign and a charming “chinito” look beside the dazzling Eliza—whom he also bonded with during the “PBB Collab 2.0” edition.
Allyson also gets in a sentimental mood in her Instagram post, with captions crafted in the voice of her intriguing character, Beth. Notably, she shares a realistic after-school selfie with her MABEL girls, complete with convincing, legit-looking IDs.
Considered one of the most tragic scenes of the show, Allyson disclosed an off-screen shot taken after filming Louisa’s (Mutya Orquia) death scene, where the girls struggled to carry her dying body to safety before realizing all they could do was hold on and desperately seek help. In the photo, however, the girls are wrapped in towels, their hair drenched, yet still playfully posing with adorable smiles and pouts.
They also shared another humorous photo: a mirror shot featuring Allyson, Krystal, Reich, Mutya, and a dummy doll joining the bunch in the background. On top of that, car selfies were clearly a favorite for the young cast as well, with everyone posing happily alongside the shy Renshi de Guzman, who plays the young Edong Santiago.
