For Rain Celmar and Vivoree Esclito, a taping chair is non-negotiable, perfect for when they need to take a nap and recharge. “Idol Kids Philippines Spotlight” host Shanaia Gomez agrees, but she makes sure to also bring a blanket for maximum comfort.
But for “Ghosting” star JM Ibarra, napping between takes isn’t his thing. Whenever he has free time on set, you’ll find him with his game console. He'd rather play than sleep because dozing off before a scene might make it harder to stay in character.
Pepe Herrera's best friend during long waits on set is his pair of earphones which he considers an all-around essential, whether he’s rehearsing a song or just unwinding a bit with music. As a singer-songwriter, Jeremy Glinoga likewise treats his headphones like a constant partner he can’t leave behind. Kolette Madelo always keeps inhaler scents in her taping bag for a quick cooling effect while waiting on set, along with water and her script. Speaking of scripts, Rufa Mae Quinto says she prefers using a hard copy, which is why she always carries a highlighter to mark her lines.
