In pursuit of helping expose the truth behind the alleged vote rigging in the latest elections, which resulted in her beloved grandson, Tanggol (Coco Martin), suddenly losing in the mayoralty race against his rival, Miguelito Guerrero (Jake Cuenca), Tindeng (Charo Santos)—through the assistance of congressman-elect Leo Mojica (Rey Campanilla) and councilor-elect Evelyn Dumlao (Tess Antonio)—had the chance to speak with some of the witnesses.
Evelyn introduced the four women as the teachers who were present during the attack of armed men at the polling precinct on the night of the elections. As Tindeng thanked them for bravely coming forward, one of the teachers admitted that they were actually terrified to testify since they were aware of what the Guerreros could do. But “Chairman” assured them that they had nothing to worry about because Team Tanggol will make sure that they are going to be safe.
According to that same teacher, she and some of her colleagues survived the deadly assault after they were able to hide from the goons. Nonetheless, they still saw how the vote counting machines were tinkered with, which eventually led to the rapid increase in Miguelito’s votes.
The teachers may still have their worries about their safety and the outcome of this brave and valiant move, yet Tindeng was able to convince them to testify in the end, as she told them that this would be not just for Tanggol but for the victims of the Guerreros and their fellow Manileños.
Roda (Joel Lamangan), who prides himself as the campaign manager of Team Tanggol, commended Tindeng for being able to persuade the witnesses and told them that their team would take charge from thereon.
