In the August 29 and September 1 episodes of “Sins of the Father,” we watched the main character, Samuel Trinidad (Gerald Anderson), courageously take on the highly dangerous challenge of scheming Rivera brothers, Roldan (Joko Diaz) and Jacob (JC de Vera)  —which was for him to fight their 100 goons and see if he would make it out alive.

This was even after he had already given them the seed phrases or passcodes to the crypto account where his late father, Mike Trinidad (John Arcilla), kept all the money they had accumulated from the people they mercilessly scammed, as well as to the other crypto wallets that he had created.

While they told Samuel that it’s part of his initiation rites as a new member of the group, it was really their way of retaliating at him after he attempted to expose them to the public as the real masterminds behind the Yayaman Tayo Investment Fund.

Little did he know that apart from his own life, millions of pesos were also at stake, as General Diego Ramirez (Tirso Cruz III) and his corrupt, powerful, and affluent friends had also placed their bets on whether he would survive the deadly game or not.

Even though he was already very exhausted and heavily wounded and injured, Samuel still managed to tackle and topple the henchmen of Roldan and Jacob all by himself—regardless of how strong, tall, and huge they were.

For sure, many were amazed by this so-called “1 versus 100” sequence, which not a lot of people were probably aware was helmed by none other than the lead star himself, Gerald Anderson. He talked about his directorial debut during a special gap show, wherein he said that he could have never accomplished it on his own if he didn’t have the support of the “Sins of the Father” team, as well as that he did his best in steering that highly action-packed sequence, so he was hopeful that the audiences would like it.

And just in case you’re curious to see what had happened behind the scenes of the said sequence, here’s a short clip that showed Gerald not just doing his scenes but also giving instructions to the stuntmen with whom he shared those series of suspenseful scenes. This proves that he isn’t just a great and passionate actor but a hands-on and meticulous director, too!

Are we going to see more scenes directed by Gerald in the next episodes of “Sins of the Father”? Let’s find out by not missing an episode, weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live (KOL), A2Z, TV5 and iWant.
