For over a year, promising sexy actress Kim Domingo did not only grace “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” with her radiantly glowing and alluringly seductive splendor but also with her promising performance as the femme fatale Madonna.

Just when the viewers assumed that she would be an enemy to Tanggol (Coco Martin) all throughout her stint, she eventually became his ally and even a member of the armed group he formed called “Wating,” which made us grow fond of her as time went by. Thus, many were shocked and saddened by her unforeseen death, which transpired during Wating’s intense and deadly clash against Ramon (Christopher de Leon) and his minions.

Two weeks have already passed since Madonna's death and her last appearance on the show. And for those who have been missing her (and her show-stopping red lips!), CCM Productions has gotten us covered via this exclusive “35 Questions with Kim Domingo” uploaded to its official YouTube channel, wherein she let us know a few things about herself and her stint in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo”.

“Sobrang saya. Although action ‘yong ginagawa namin, magaan ‘yong set namin. So, talagang para kaming isang pamilya,” the sexy actress enthused when asked how she’d been on the set of the series at the time.

She went on to share that the best part of their shooting was how it never felt like they were working because of the genuine and tight bond among the cast. They may often appear serious and fierce onscreen, but their set behind the scenes has always been filled with joy, laughter, and banter, which greatly helped ease their exhaustion. Among her castmates, she divulged that she was the closest with “tropa ni Tanggol” since she used to spend most of her time at work with them.

Thus, when asked to describe the vibe on the set of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” in one word, it would be “magaan.” Meanwhile, she described the series “masaya, magaan, at maaksyon” in general.

We were also to get a glimpse of her bond with her castmates by naming her co-stars who were best described by the words mentioned by the interviewer. She regarded Mammoth (a.k.a. Bulldog) as the naughtiest and the one who laughs the loudest, Raymond Ronquillo (a.k.a. Raul) as the most generous in feeding everyone on the set, and Rosanna Roces (a.k.a. Divina), whom she fondly calls Mommy O, as the one who’s the earliest to arrive on the set and to whom she sought advice the most.

With regard to what she feels about being part of a story that the entire nation loved, Kim conveyed, “Sobrang grateful, and it’s an honor for me na mapabilang sa ‘Batang Quiapo.’” And if there was a line of Madonna that remained stuck with her, she revealed that it would be, “Palagi lang akong nasa likod mo, Tanggol,” which she was able to prove until her last breath.

The most challenging scene for Madonna was her initial bout with Tanggol, in which she had to unleash a totally different side of her, as she played the role of a fierce female assassin. Despite hearing nothing but kind words about him, she confessed to not being able to help herself from getting scared and nervous at first since it was her first time working with him.

When asked about the most important thing she learned from Coco, Kim said, “Actually, madami. Kahit in life, marami siyang naging payo. Number one diyan ‘yong pakikisama talaga. Napaka-importante talaga no’n.” She also expressed her desire to take on the role of Tanggol if given the chance to play a different character, since she wanted to try becoming a female version of him.

The actress, who was teased by the viewers for not wearing anything but slick and figure-hugging black suits on the show, imparted that her stint in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” indeed helped her grow as an actress.

She related, “Kasi ito talaga ‘yong pinaka-matindi kong [pagganap]. For me, napaka-challenging nitong character ni Madonna. So, for me, ibang atake siya kasi sanay ‘yong mga tao na [si] Kim Domingo drama or sexy roles. Pero this time, iba ‘to. So, for me, nag-level ako rito noong pumasok talaga ako sa ‘Batang Quiapo.’

And lastly, when asked for her message for all the viewers who avidly watch the series every night, Kim expressed, “Para sa lahat ng mga viewers na patuloy na sumusuporta sa ‘Batang Quiapo’, maraming-maraming salamat po and sana talagang nandiyan kayo hanggang huli.”

Kim may be no longer part of the series, but she and her character Madonna will certainly be loved by ardent fans of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.” Find out what’s going to happen next to Tanggol and the rest of Team Wating following Madonna and Raul’s demise by not missing an episode of the well-loved action-drama series, weeknights at 8 PM.
