Has everyone already seen ABS-CBN Studios’ first-ever original YouTube movie, “The Four Bad Boys and Me?”
Whether you are part of its over 1.5 million views as of this writing or still planning to watch one of these days, we have an ayuda, or a little present, for you—a kilig between BGYO’s Gelo Rivera and Anji Salvacion during their appearance together in Kapamilya Chat.
Aside from talking about their latest project, which is an adaptation of the popular Wattpad novel with the same title, the two also enthusiastically played the games that we had prepared for them. One of which was the “Eye to Eye Challenge”, wherein they had to pick a pick-up line from a bowl and say it to the other person while looking at them straight in the eyes. The receiver should try their best to put on a poker face because whoever displays any kind of reaction—be it kilig, laughter, or anything else—loses.
Since it was him who won in their jack en poy, Gelo had the power to choose who between them would be the first one to deliver a pickup line—and he opted for Anji to do it first.
Gelo won the first round after he was able to maintain his serious face as Anji told him with utmost sweetness that he’s the “ilaw” (light) of her life, which gets dark everytime he’s not around (kasi ‘pag wala ka dumidilim na). Besides, he was also able to make her smile as he asked her, “Google ka ba?”, and went on to expound, “kasi na sa’yo na lahat ng hinahanap ko.”
In the second round, Anji asked Gelo to pick a pick-up line for her and then tried to get his full attention, as she attempted to make him react to her this time. And her technique worked because Gelo laughed after she asked him, “Ikaw ba ang GPS ng buhay ko?” to which the response was, “Kasi walang direksyon ‘pag wala ka.”
However, she also gave Gelo another point when she got kilig to after he told her, “Kasi type kita”, which was the response to the classic pick-up line, “Keyboard ka ba?”
And for the last round, Anji tried her luck again by dropping another old yet heart-fluttering pick-up line, which was, “Sana ulan ka at [lupa] ako.” She succeeded, for she was able to make him smile when she explained, “Kasi kahit na anong mangyari, sa akin pa rin ang bagsak mo.”
As the host asked for their reactions to what they just did, Gelo mentioned that it reminded him of their taping, for he and Anji would read lines and hold hands to channel energy to one another while they were on standby. Anji even tried to demonstrate it, but Gelo ended up doing a little dance.
Aside from Gelo and Anji, “The Four Bad Boys and Me” also stars River Joseph, Harvey Bautista, Dustine Mayores, AC Bonifacio, Brent Manalo, Analain Salvador, Gela Alonte, and Krystal Brimner. It has been available for streaming since July 31 on the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube Channel.
