Doña Pilar (Celia Rodriguez) forces Tindeng (Charo Santos) to speak to the phone as she calls her daughter, Marites (Cherry Pie Picache), to inform her that she has abducted her mother. Tindeng refuses at first, but eventually takes the opportunity to tell her daughter not to heed whatever Pilar says since it’s entirely a trap. She strongly advises her not to go where they are and rather save herself.
Knowing that Marites will do everything for her mother, Pilar tells her that she will only set Tindeng free if she returns to her the titles of all the properties that Don Gustavo (Dante Rivero) has given back to her a few days ago. Pilar further instructs Marites to come quickly to San Nicolas, or else she will deliver Tindeng as a corpse.
Olivia (Chandra Romero), Doña Pilar’s daughter with Don Julio (Tommy Abuel), expresses her utter disbelief, and then accuses Marites of being just out of her mind. This prompts Ramon (Christopher de Leon), Tanggol (Coco Martin), and their groups to point their guns at Olivia, who nervously declares that she knows nothing about it. But Tanggol isn’t buying it, so he vows to kill her and her mother if something bad happens to Tindeng.
