After the adrenaline rush of the recent action-packed rescue in "FPJ’s Batang Quiapo," the pace softens into a drama-heavy reunion as Tanggol (Coco Matin)'s group brings home his grandmother Tindeng (Charo Santos) and Alfredo (Juan Rodrigo) to the Montenegro mansion following their escape from Pilar (Celia Rodriguez)'s men.

And while the episode served viewers with raw emotions and tearful family moments, a new behind-the-scenes video shared by CCM Film Production lets us experience the other side of it. Here's a full access to how these poignant segments were filmed, as if you were right there on set.

In the clip, we see the cast and crew fully immersed in the process, throwing lines and exchanging collaborative ideas on how to best craft each sequence. Every detail is given attention, from the lights even to the placement of props inside the Montenegro mansion, showing just how meticulous they are in building the atmosphere for each shot.

Surprisingly, the set is also filled with laughter before the cameras would roll. Cherry Pie Picache, in full Marites mode, teases Charo about her character’s love life with Alfredo, while Coco joins in with a hearty laugh alongside the rest of the cast.

But as soon as the take begins, the actors are able to switch from playful to dramatic in just a snap. In the scene, Marites (Cherry Pie) and Tindeng (Charo) share a deeply emotional reunion, with the latter moved to tears upon hearing her daughter call her "Nay" for the first time. Marites offers to have her live with them, but Tindeng declines as she can’t bear to stay under the same roof as Ramon (Christopher de Leon), still harboring resentment over what he had done to her daughter.

Watching the BTS clip feels like witnessing the actual taping right in front of us, viewers, and we get to see how an “actor’s cue” actually works. Charo loads up on emotions first and then gives a subtle signal that she’s ready before the assistant director calls “action.” And in a rare off-cam glimpse, Coco is seen fully engaged in his directorial task as he closely watches the dramatic exchange play out and we get to hear him end the take with a satisfied "cut."

Don’t miss an episode of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” weeknights at 8 PM on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, iWant, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL). Viewers outside of the Philippines can watch on The Filipino Channel (TFC) on cable and IPTV.
