Patrick (Joshua Garcia) wakes up to the noise of Gemma (Kaori Oinuma) and Mia (Anne Curtis) exchanging sharp words that have already escalated into hair-pulling, prompting him to rush over, grab Mia, and drag her away. Mia fumes, accusing Patrick of making it seem like she’s the one at fault then questions why he and Matmat are even living in that place and offers to help him find another one.
That’s when Patrick snaps, telling Mia to stop ordering him what to do and says she knows nothing and that she doesn’t own him—the complete opposite of what she had just bragged to Gemma. He hands her a hundred pesos for fare, says she’s on her own, and drives her away before walking out himself. Seething, Mia throws the money aside in defiance.
Meanwhile, Patrick goes straight to a sulking Matmat, who just learned that he lied about the whole situation. Eventually, Matmat accepts his explanation that the heavy rain forced him to let Mia stay. Thinking his brother is about to hide in the closet again like he usually does when upset, Patrick feels relieved when Matmat instead takes out what he calls his most expensive clothes, which, he points out, should have been the ones lent to Mia instead of what he dubs Patrick’s “cheap and ugly” clothes.
