Upon learning about Mia (Anne Curtis)'s violent encounter with her father Samuel (Michael De Mesa) at OK Hospital, Patrick (Joshua Garcia) realizes why he had earlier seen her walking alone in the middle of the road, looking lost and vacant, while he was on a jeepney ride home.
So without wasting time, he borrows the motorcycle of his friend Jason (Francis Magundayao) to search for her. The sun is already setting when Patrick continues his search, asking around but finding no one who has seen her until heavy rain pours, yet he refuses to give up, not minding his clothes getting soaked as he drives through the downpour.
At last, he catches sight of Mia still walking in the rain, her gaze fixed ahead, holding in her hand the sandals she had taken off after her feet grew sore from their high heels. Patrick takes off his jacket to drape it over her, prompting Mia to instinctively drop the sandals she is carrying and wrap her arms around him, and in that unguarded moment, Patrick embraces her back.
