Following the troubling scene from previous episode where Mia (Anne Curtis) reunites with her dementia-stricken father Samuel (Michael De Mesa) at OK Hospital, a meeting that turns violent as he strangles her and repeatedly says she should have been dead, Mia now wanders aimlessly around Maravida, her eyes vacant and her steps without direction.
Meanwhile, Patrick (Joshua Garcia) has left the hospital ahead, with Nanay Li (Rio Locsin) volunteering to take care of bringing home Matmat (Carlo Aquino), who remains upset with his brother after Patrick scolded him for disobeying his order and interacting with Mia at the facility.
Patrick has just finished cleaning the house when Nanay Li knocks on the door, telling him she walked home with Matmat and inviting him to join them for snacks and dinner. She also mentions wanting to be joined by her daughter Gemma (Kaori Oinuma), but Gemma says she can’t go home yet as she is attending to Samuel’s outburst at the hospital.
When Patrick learns about Samuel’s assault on Mia, he understands why he saw her wandering alone and dazed. He immediately borrows Jason (Francis Magundayao)'s motorcycle to go and look for her.
