With the game-changing arrival of veteran actor Leo Martinez and sultry Angeli Khang, "FPJ's Batang Quiapo" amps up the action as powerful families go head-to-head in a high-stakes showdown in the latest episode. Primetime King Coco Martin is going all in once again to deliver yet another cinematic, star-studded face-off in his series.

Caught in the latest crossfire were Tanggol (Coco) and Ramon (Christopher de Leon) versus Miguelito (Jake Cuenca) and Roberto (Albert Martinez), former allies now officially enemies, after a tense and disastrous meeting arranged by Mr. Kwon (Leo) and his granddaughter Veronica (Angeli). The Kwons proved to be cunning and strategic players as they pulled the strings behind a supposed business transaction involving both the Montenegro and Guerrero families. The deal quickly turned sour as egos clashed and tempers flared, neither side willing to compromise or share control over the distribution of Mr. Kwon’s products. Mr. Kwon, maintaining his stance as a neutral businessman, calmly insisted that he needs more distributors, but his attempt to bring both sides together only fanned the flames of long-standing tension.

As expected, the negotiations erupted into a full-blown confrontation. Gun barrels locked in a deadly stare-down, as seen in last week’s episodes, which is just a teaser of the bigger chaos that's about to unfold.

The behind-the-scenes reels released by CCM Film Production show just how much effort went into mounting the fight sequences. In one video, Coco is seen right in the middle of it all, leading the team and giving instructions as a hands-on director. The cast had to keep up fast, knowing how Coco throws in impromptu ideas and doesn’t rely on a fixed script, so everyone had to be alert and ready to move with the moment.

The actors are seen rehearsing the fight choreography themselves—proof that they're really doing the stunts and not just relying on body doubles. And you can’t deny the level of talent they bring to the table. From their fiery, intimidating stares to the way they drop their lines, it’s a full-on showdown that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Coco and Jake, in particular, never miss, like they were born to be on opposite sides of this hero-villain dynamic.

But before the cameras start rolling, you’ll see them all arriving on set with big smiles and greeting each other warmly. Angeli, the newest cast member and the only woman in those heavy action scenes, is being looked after by her co-actors. They treat her with gentlemanly care, making sure she doesn’t feel out of place. And in between takes, you’ll see everyone working together—throwing lines, giving suggestions, and collaborating closely on how to make each scene hit even harder.

Another thing that adds to the intensity and overall feels of the scenes is the camerawork, something Coco is also deeply involved in. He’s very hands-on when it comes to laying out his vision, from where the camera should focus to how it should pan across the action. And we can all agree that his instincts always deliver, with the result being so consistently badass and cinematic. Even the choice of location and props helped elevate the entire sequence.

With Coco at the helm and a powerhouse cast bringing the heat, “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” continues to raise the bar. And if these BTS reels and the latest episodes are hints, the real war between the Montenegros and the Guerreros has only just begun.
