Finding new friends that are genuine and loyal is believed to be quite hard since there are people who tend to be wolves in sheep’s clothing or disguise themselves as kind to hide their malicious intentions. And one good example of it is Miguelito Guerrero of "FPJ’s Batang Quiapo," portrayed by versatile actor Jake Cuenca, who seemingly pretends to be an ally of lead character Tanggol, played by award-winning actor-director Coco Martin.
As tension between them and their families sparks due to their differences when it comes to running the drug business they’re supposed to operate together as business partners, the scenes from the undisputed primetime series that we’ve collated in this Kapamilya Toplist show the beginning and the anticipated downfall of their presumed strong partnership.
It can be recalled that Tanggol and Miguelito didn’t have a good start with one another, as their paths first intertwined when their groups figured in a thrilling car dash. As Miguelito and his henchmen attempted to dominate the road by speeding up and overtaking other cars, which included the one being driven by Tanggol. This, of course, enraged Tanggol and his friends, which resulted in a spontaneous race between their groups.
Little did they know that their paths would cross again at the party organized by the Montenegros, in which Miguelito and his affluent family, the Guerreros, were among the special guests. Since they had unfinished business with one another prior to that event, an intense faceoff ensued between the two groups, except for Tanggol, who was already with his father and grandfather in a room.
Upon learning about the commotion, Tanggol immediately came to his friends’ rescue and confronted Miguelito, who was stunned with how dexterous Tanggol was in holding a gun, for he was not only able to grab his gun away from him but also to dislodge its bullets and return it to him with just one hand. He then went on to warn Miguelito, “Mag-ingat ka sa baril, may pagkasa-demonyo ‘yan.”
As the Montenegros and the Guerreros forged an alliance with each other, Miguelito proposed to Tanggol for them to be friends as well, which the latter gladly accepted. Aside from friendship, Tanggol went on to initiate for them to become business partners, too, starting off with him and Divina offering Miguelito the precious “Blood Titan” gem in their possession that was worth P5 million and to be one of their partners in their drug-dealing venture. However, they failed to close a deal since the politician wanted to buy it at a very low price, which Tanggol and Divina highly refused since they exerted a lot of effort and made tremendous sacrifices just to acquire it.
Thus, Divina and Tanggol simply invited him to the car drifting competition hosted by them, which Miguelito eagerly accepted and then eventually won—without him knowing that his henchmen were already double-crossed by “Wating," the armed group comprised of Tanggol and his friends, during a business transaction with one of their clients.
Apart from the businesses that his group has established, as well as those owned by their family, the Montenegros further expanded their illegal drug venture by solidifying their partnership with Mr. Arthur Kwon (Leo Martinez), who they expect to import products here. Tanggol and his group, on the other hand, will be in charge of selling the items, while the Guerreros, being the ones in position, will provide security.
However, as Miguelito’s focus was apparently not on their business but on catching another chick in Mr. Kwon’s gorgeous granddaughter, Veronica (Angeli Khang), Tanggol got really upset, and this caused a spat between them, as the latter insisted that they must stick to their initial agreement.
And lastly, as their respective fathers, Ramon (Christopher de Leon) and Roberto (Albert Martinez), got into an altercation as the latter accused the former of bringing the NADCOM, or the government’s drug enforcement agency, to their meet-up place, which compromised their highly important transaction that certain day.
