Fury consumed Olsen (Kyle Echarri) as he grew suspicious of Ian, even while Ian (Harvey Bautista) was helping the other victims of the siege in the December 29 episode of “Roja.”
Due to an explosion inside the banquet hall, the other guests successfully escaped through the ventilation vent with the help of Ice (Kai Montinola). Fortunately, Olsen, Engineer Mike (Cris Villanueva), and Architect Minnie (Nikki Valdez) survived the blast. The three quickly fled, with Olsen guiding the couple.
As they made their way out, Minnie felt her condition worsening. She asked Mike to continue with Olsen and leave her behind, “Masyado na akong nagiging pabigat sa inyo, baka mapahamak pa kayo lalo,” she said. But Mike refused to abandon his wife. Minnie urged him to go for Maddie (Zia Grace), yet Mike held her even closer, insisting, “Kailangan nating mabuhay para kay Maddie.”
While the couple were talking, Olsen spotted Ian from behind and immediately charged at him, attacking without hesitation. The two aimed their guns at each other. Suddenly, Rita (Maika Rivera)---who had previously been saved by Ian---stepped between them.
"Kakampi natin siya," Rita told Olsen, leaving him confused. She quickly explained that Ian had saved her earlier from the armed men, "Binaril niya yung dalawa niyang kasamahan para sagipin ako." Ian backed her up, pleading with Olsen to believe her.
Olsen ordered Ian to surrender his weapons and instructed Ian to follow him. As they moved forward, Rita warned Olsen about the landmines around the area. Offering further help, Ian revealed where his team had planted the remaining explosives. Olsen abruptly cut him off, “Binabalaan kita, ‘wag mo kaming gagaguhin kundi papatayin kita,” he threatened.
"Olsen, pagkatiwalaan na lang natin siya," Rita convinced Olsen, however, he remained cautious and gave another warning to Ian. He then handed Ian’s gun to Mike, and together, they continued searching for a place to hide.
