Much of the series’ previous mysteries have already been uncovered, but among the major ones likely to have a jaw-dropping full reveal is Alice’s (Janella Salvador) storyline.
Throughout the series, Alice has been portrayed as a gentle character who loves intensely—for her father, MABEL (Mel, Beth, Erica, and Louisa), Seth (Rhys Stevens), and probably Scott (Mark Neumann) before their divorce—which makes complete sense, since all of them contribute to the hauntings that overwhelm her and set the plot in motion.
The ups and downs of her relationships
For most of the show, Alice is clearly the one who unexpectedly brought young Beth (Allyson McBride), Mel (Reich Alim), Erica (Krystal Mejes), and Louisa (Mutya Orquia) together—beginning with the four rescuing her from a smashed and burning car that killed her father (Geoff Eigenmann), and later mourning with her at his funeral.
Stricken by a long period of grief, the four girls approached Alice and created a warm, genuine bond that, at the time, seemed unbreakable. That is why, during the tragic events of Louisa’s murder, young Edong’s (Renshi de Guzman) unjust imprisonment, the crumbling friendship of MABEL, and Erica’s departure from Amurao—huge parts of Alice’s sense of self were taken and never fully healed over time.
Fourteen years later, the grown-up Alice and Erica (Kaila Estrada) would soon talk about the pain they had endured over the years, with Alice realizing just how much Erica had been bearing alone, particularly the guilt surrounding Edong’s (Jake Cuenca) traumatic fate inside Bagumbayan Prison.
Beyond her friendships, her marriage is also at risk, with suspicions of Scott’s infidelity and nighttime abuse (which have yet to be confirmed). However, these remain hunches, as her recollections are still blurry—possibly distorted—and no unmistakable evidence has been found despite her efforts.
Alice’s sleepwalking may reveal an unbearable truth
With Alice now brave enough to confront her trauma, aided by her psychologist who reminds her that healing shouldn’t be rushed, her journey toward her forgotten past is set in motion.
The series shows just how far Alice’s sleepwalking can take her—from messing her own room to standing in the backyard of a frightened stranger.
Likely only the beginning, this demonstrates that her body is indeed acting on its own, trying to process something it cannot yet fully handle.
Alice’s distorted view of Scott
Is there really more to what we think we know about Alice? In episode 45, with Scott’s unforeseen arrival in the Philippines, they fail to have a peaceful conversation as Alice begins to have frantic reactions—seemingly afraid of him again.
However, her perspective is different this time: Scott appears to approach her compassionately, though glitches in her perception disturb the scene, making her see him as aggressive.
