Who says rehearsals can’t be fun? A few hours before the cameras started rolling for "Love, Joy, Hope: The ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2025," Kapamilya stars turned the studio into a playground that witnessed exciting reunions and spontaneous ‘kulitan’ breaks in between dance run-throughs and vocal warmups.
After all, this tradition isn't only an opportunity for Kapamilya artists to spread joy to loyal fans through song and dance performances, but it also doubles as their happy get-together 'sesh' in their second home. Isn't that what Christmas is all about?
This year’s “Love, Joy, Hope: The ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2025” was filled with spectacular numbers, and it wouldn’t have been complete without the powerhouse ensembles of today’s biggest teleseryes. The cast of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” led by Coco Martin and joined by Jake Cuenca, Maris Racal, and veterans like Christopher de Leon, brought so much fun even as early as the rehearsal sessions.
The video also gave a glimpse of the fierce energy served by "What Lies Beneath" actresses Janella Salvador, Charlie Dizon, and Kaila Estrada; and the handsome appeal of "Roja" stars Kyle Echarri and Donny Pangilinan.
Industry 'main characters' like Kathryn Bernardo, Anne Curtis, Piolo Pascual, Joshua Garcia, and James Reid added even more star power to the lineup, while screen legend Charo Santos lent her timeless beauty, and dance moves, to the festivities.
Carrying the same closeness and chaotic fun from Kuya’s house straight into the studio, the OG "PBB Collab" housemates Esnyr, Klarisse de Guzman, Shuvee Etrata, Mika Salamanca, and Brent Manalo made the rehearsals feel like a 'barkada' reunion. Their fellow ex-housemates Bianca de Vera, Dustin Yu, and Will Ashley added so much 'feels' to the celebration as they represented the Metro Manila Film Festival 2025 entry "Love You So Bad."
“Call Me Mother,” another one of the most anticipated MMFF 2025 entries, headlined by Vice Ganda and Nadine Lustre, was also part of the good times.
Also spotted during rehearsals were top love teams like Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano a.k.a. DonBelle, and Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino a.k.a. KimPau. Coco and his sweetheart Julia Montes, or CocoJul to their shippers, got candid and cozy during practice.
Representing the next generation of performers were BINI and BGYO. And no Kapamilya Christmas celebration would be complete without the golden voices of OPM royalties, such as, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano, and Zsa Zsa Padilla, who came together for some of the most moving musical numbers of the night.
