In the December 11 episode of Kapamilya Chat, Eugene Domingo, Angelica Panganiban, and Zanjoe Marudo brought unfiltered honesty and real‑life wisdom as they took on the “Marry or Unmarry” challenge. The guests were given different relationship scenarios. If they thought a scenario was a green flag, they would say ‘Marry.’ If it was a red flag, they would reply ‘Unmarry.’”

The trio gamely reacted to different relationship scenarios, revealing their own boundaries and love languages along the way.

The first scenario asked what they would do if their partners are ultra clingy in public. Angelica and Eugene admitted they’re naturally clingy themselves. Both of them answered ‘Marry,’ with Eugene explaining that her husband, Danilo Bottoni, is very expressive, so she’s used to it. “Normal lang naman talaga ‘yun sa Europe… ‘yung expressive ka, or demonstrative, passionate, gano’n.” Zanjoe also said ‘Marry,’ adding that it’s normal to be affectionate with your partner.

Next, they were asked about a partner who avoids confrontation. Zanjoe admitted he also dislikes confrontations and prefers one straightforward talk. Eugene still said ‘Marry,’ and Angelica agreed. The latter explained that despite looking ‘mataray,’ she actually avoids confrontations and processes things quietly, especially with her husband, Gregg Homan, “Matiisin ako, pero ‘pag sumabog ako… ayun. Lagi kong iniintindi.” However, when it comes to other people and situations, she isn’t afraid to call out the problem.

The third scenario was about a partner who insists on doing everything for you---basically giving you what Gen Zs call a “princess treatment.” Angelica immediately said ‘Unmarry,’ explaining that she’s very independent and wants to solve her own problems. “May pagka ‘alpha’ ako, hindi sa relasyon, pero ‘alpha’ ako na kaya ko ‘tong gawin, very independent akong tao.”

Eugene, however, said ‘Marry,’ joking that after being independent all her life, she enjoys being treated like a princess sometimes. Zanjoe said he’s okay with it as long as there’s balance---he’ll let his partner handle things she’s good at, and he’ll do the same for her. But if he becomes too dependent, he said that wouldn’t be right.

When asked about a partner who snores loudly, Eugene still answered ‘Marry,’ though she’d bring them to a doctor. Zanjoe said snoring doesn’t bother him. Angelica laughed and said she already “married” that situation, sharing that even her daughter gets annoyed by her husband’s snoring. Eugene then revealed she’s actually the snorer in her own home.

The last scenario was about a partner who always wants updates about your day. All three answered ‘Marry.’ Angelica said she regularly updates her husband, “[Inu-update ko siya] parang ‘Eto ‘yung mga gagawin ko'. Tapos [sinasabi ko] ‘wag kang magulo today.” She believes that communication is important, especially when she has a heavy scene to shoot, and that he shouldn’t call her if it’s only a minor problem that can be solved immediately.

Eugene agreed, saying it’s important to share how you feel and where you are. Zanjoe added “Para alam na safe ka, alam kung anong nangyayari sa’yo.” He shared that his wife, Ria Atayde, always sends him her weekly schedule, but she doesn’t demand the same from him and doesn’t get mad when he forgets to update her.

Through the game, viewers got a simple but sweet look at how the three stars handle affection, communication, and compromise in real life.

If you enjoyed their candid takes on love, catch them in the movie “UnMarry,” an official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival, hitting cinemas on December 25.
