During their mentoring session, vocal mentor Klarisse de Guzman enumerated the things that Pepe Herrera should take note of regarding the style of Juan Karlos—his emotion-filled singing, his signature “scooping,” and his tendency to repeat words—which he would have to exaggerate.
Meanwhile, movement coach Nyoy Volante pointed out how a “sulit na performer” Juan Karlos is, which means that he never leaves any dull moment in his every performance. He also reminded Pepe of the young rockstar’s “face melting” habit and even gave a sample of how he could do it.
“Ang galing ni JK at saka ang sarap pakinggan ng mga kanta niya, at saka punong-puno ng puso. So, to be able to perform that, it will be a great honor,” Pepe conveyed, which could be his reason for using the first “steal” power in the entire “Your Face Sounds Familiar” history.
