On its 30th year of unwavering Filipino excellence and as a premier platform for world-class Pinoy entertainment, “ASAP” delivered greater and more momentous festivity in the third installment of “ASAP in Vancouver,” which aired this Sunday, November 9.
Act three of the show welcomed audiences with Ultimate Heartthrob Piolo Pascual’s crowd-pumping rendition of Rivermaya’s “Liwanag Sa Dilim,” admirably evoking a lasting sense of hope and the feeling of Filipino home for the Kabayans in Canada.
On the heels of the celebration of Filipino pride, Chief of OPM Ogie Alcasid and Concert King Martin Nievera sang with powerhouse vocals that perfectly complemented the artful rapping of Asia’s Pop Heartthrob Darren Espanto and international urban-pop artist Iñigo Pascual in their cover of Ez Mil’s “Panalo (Trap Cariñosa).”
Taking the stage next with another Rivermaya classic, “Posible,” are Pop Ballad Royalty Erik Santos, Queen of Philippine Pop Culture Jolina Magdangal, Power Diva Angeline Quinto, and New-Gen Phenomenal Actress Belle Mariano.
Capping off the marvelous tribute to Filipino culture, Kapamilya performers—Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla, Pop Rock Royalty Yeng Constantino, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, and Soul Diva Klarisse de Guzman honored Heber Bartolome’s “Tayo’y Mga Pinoy” with a passionate rendition.
Settling the spotlight for what comes next is New Gen Ultimate Leading Man Joshua Garcia, performing Maki’s chart-topping hit “Dilaw,” as he is showered with love from the audience and later joined by his fellow Kapamilya artists.
OG ASAP Supahdance Idol Shaina Magdayao kicked things off with a pop remix featuring Katseye’s “Gnarly” and Jennie and Doechii’s “Extra-L.” Enchong Dee followed, grooving to Black Eyed Peas’ “Bebot,” while Kim Chiu rounded out the segment as the cherry on top with her Katseye “MIA” dance number.
After the trio’s dance jam, the stage was set for another musical feast, featuring some of the finest and proudest Filipino singers in Canada, led by Martin Nievera and joined by ASAP Champions Erik Santos, Klarisse de Guzman, Sofronio Vasquez, and Jona.
Truly making the moment special, Martin entered in a sleek blue suit, perfectly embodying the essence of the classic musical number “This Is The Moment” from “Jekyll and Hyde.”
Gracing the scene next is Erik, alongside musical theater performer Henry Ayeras. Both harmonized beautifully on the iconic “Cats” musical song “Memory.”
Other anchors of the soul-stirring vocal segment, Angeline together with recording artist and “Pilipinas Got Talent Season 4” finalist Crisadhel Bernardo belted out “As If We Never Said Goodbye” from the “Sunset Boulevard” musical.
Moving on to a Disney classic, Sofronio teamed up with 2025 “Canada’s Got Talent” finalist Dong Sabanal for a courage-filled performance of “Go the Distance.”
Klarisse, in tandem with soul and jazz recording artist Sharon Rose, perfectly delivered the scene-stealing and vocally intense “Never Enough” from “The Greatest Showman.”
Asia’s Fearless Diva Jona and classical singer Rucell Voloso gave a show-stopping performance, unbeatable with their jaw-droppingly high vocalizations in the “Queen of the Night” aria from Mozart’s “The Magic Flute.”
Topping off the vocal runs with an extended version of Martin’s opening song, Erik joins him in a chorus with the ASAP Champions and Filipino artists in Canada.
Down to the dancing heartthrobs, Darren and Iñigo joined forces to captivate the audience with their magnetic “Mi Gente” dance and vocal performance.
Shortly thereafter, Sample King Jhong Hilario busted his moves to the trending “Dame un Grrr,” while King of the Dance Floor Vhong Navarro jammed to “Turn Heads” and “Killin’ It Girl,” before the two merged with Darren and Iñigo for a suave “Pogi” dance.
Conversing on the sidelines, Robi, Edward, Piolo, and Martin introduced the empowered Kapamilya women—OPM royalties and hitmakers of their generation—as the next performers set to dominate the stage.
Vibing to Lady Gaga’s “The Edge of Glory” were Pop Rock Royalty Yeng and Power Diva Angeline, followed by Belle’s enchanting “Abracadabra” set, where she entranced the audience in a mesmerizing white dress.
After the divas’ showcase, Robi, Kim, Shaina, and Enchong shared playful banter and laughter before they welcomed the feels in Vancouver with Moira Dela Torre’s heartfelt medley, opening with her emotional hit, “Paubaya.”
Kapamilya actress Loisa Andalio and Gen Z Total Performer Alexa Ilacad then joined Moira on stage, performing her sweet-sounding “Tagu-Taguan” and closing with a heartbreaking rendition of “Kung ‘Di Rin Lang Ikaw” alongside KD and Jarren, as the group came together for an emotive finale.
Finally, teasing the much-anticipated Star Cinema film by acclaimed director Cathy Garcia-Sampana, “Meet, Greet & Bye,” the main cast—Joshua, Belle, and Piolo—continued Moira’s medley, closing with a tear-inducing performance of “Kumpas.”
Still overflowing with good vibes, Robi, Darren, Edward, Belle, and Alexa visited Brockton Point Lighthouse in Vancouver Harbour, likening the landmark’s iconic quality to the next artist to take the stage—Dyosa and Asia’s Multimedia Superstar, Anne Curtis.
Clad in a sophisticated red gown, Anne began singing the famous rock ballad “Alone,” captivating the audience so much that Asia’s Songbird humorously came onstage to hand her a cup of water, helping soothe her vocal cords.
The two iconic, beautiful, and playful superstars then performed a duet, delivering the belty hits “On The Wings of Love” and “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” a fantastic way to close the third part of the show.
