Act three of “ASAP in Vancouver” welcomed audiences with Ultimate Heartthrob Piolo Pascual’s crowd-pumping rendition of Rivermaya’s “Liwanag Sa Dilim,” admirably evoking a lasting sense of hope and the feeling of Filipino home for the Kabayans in Canada.
On the heels of the celebration of Filipino pride, Chief of OPM Ogie Alcasid and Concert King Martin Nievera sang with powerhouse vocals that perfectly complemented the artful rapping of Asia’s Pop Heartthrob Darren Espanto and international urban-pop artist Iñigo Pascual in their cover of Ez Mil’s “Panalo (Trap Cariñosa).”
Taking the stage next with another Rivermaya classic, “Posible,” are Pop Ballad Royalty Erik Santos, Queen of Philippine Pop Culture Jolina Magdangal, Power Diva Angeline Quinto, and New-Gen Phenomenal Actress Belle Mariano.
Capping off the marvelous tribute to Filipino culture, Kapamilya performers—Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla, Pop Rock Royalty Yeng Constantino, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, and Soul Diva Klarisse de Guzman honored Heber Bartolome’s “Tayo’y Mga Pinoy” with a passionate rendition.
