The spooky surprises may be over, but Day 7 inside "Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" was still a wild mix of fun and challenge for the housemates.
In the October 31 episode, Big Brother called in Lella Ford of Star Magic and Princess Aliyah of Sparkle to the confession room for a special mission. And that was to lead the housemates in creating a choreography for the show’s theme song, “Kabataang Pinoy.” They had to come up with the entire dance routine and perform it within the day.
As soon as they stepped out of the confession room, Lella and Princess wasted no time briefing everyone about the task. Princess was proud of her growth as a leader, as she used to be the “my-way-or-no-way” type before, but this time she found the sweet spot between being firm and actually listening to her teammates’ ideas.
Meanwhile, Lella chose to take a quieter approach. She later confessed to Kuya that she was intentionally toning down her energy to avoid coming off as too controlling, even though the others, like Lee Victor, were getting a little too out of focus. Still, the balance between her and Princess worked like magic. Princess kept the group’s drive strong, while Lella brought back order whenever things started getting too chaotic.
And speaking of chaotic, that’s exactly how their final performance turned out. But not the bad kind! It was a carefree and fun kind of chaos. As Princess put it, the youth in them came out while performing the whole choreography.
After wrapping up their dance choreography task, Princess found herself opening up to her co-leader Lella. During their conversation, she admitted that she’s been struggling to adjust inside Bahay Ni Kuya, especially keeping up with the other housemates' high energy. Even in the outside world, she also dealt with that constant feeling of being left out in group settings, of always trying to catch up just to belong.
Princess shared how she often forces herself to match other people’s rhythm just so she wouldn’t feel out of place. The calm and understanding Lella got where Princess was coming from, so she advised her that she doesn’t have to push herself to match everyone’s vibe just to belong. "Hindi mo kailangan makipagsabayan," she told her. "Kung sila matataas ang energy, okay, ikaw kalmado ka lang."
"If you be yourself, kusa silang lalapit sa'yo," Lella added. "'Yun ang first step mo, magpakatotoo ka. Tingnan mo kung sino 'yung lalapit sa'yo, kung sino 'yung tatanggapin ka talaga nang buo."
Lella reminded Princess that life’s already hard as it is, and she doesn’t need to make it heavier by trying to please everyone. What she deserves, Lella said, are friends who feel light to be around
During mealtime, housemate Marco Masa ran out of food. He didn’t complain or make a scene about it, but it was pretty noticeable that while he got none left on his plate, housemate Carmelle Collado still had plenty of food untouched.
Later on, while washing the dishes with housemate John Clifford, Miguel Vergara also noticed how much food had gone to waste even though some of their housemates barely got to eat.
Clifford eventually brought it up to Anton Vinzon and Marco during their talk in the garden area. He pointed out how Carmelle had so much food on her plate while some of them barely got any. What bothered him even more was that she didn’t finish what was on her plate.
"While I was washing the dishes, ang daming tira. Sayang! Pwede pa sana 'yun mapunta sa mga walang ulam," said Clifford, noting that Marco, who actually helped cook their meal, was one of those who ended up with nothing. "I was just looking out for everyone. That's a bare minimum na dapat lahat makakain ng ulam,” Clifford reacted.
Meanwhile, Kuya decided to crank things up a notch as the housemates continued with the weekly task “Candelabra de Horror." From that point on, the housemates carrying the giant candelabra had to keep walking around the pool, no stopping, not even during the switch of candle-bearers. They needed to stay in sync and keep all candles lit.
Rave Victoria, Krystal Mejes, Reich Alim, Clifford and Princess led the round while the other housemates guided their steps to make sure everyone moved together. Things got trickier as they passed by the corner of the pool, but they managed to finish their first loop without any flame going out.
Task leaders Iñigo Jose and Caprice Cayetano then started replacing the melted candles. Since it was taking longer than expected, the candleholders’ arms were starting to ache as well, but the next rounds still went smoothly—until one newly replaced candle started wobbling. While they were focusing on keeping that candle steady, Joaquin Arce accidentally blew air toward another candle in front of him, putting out its flame, and soon the wobbly candle completely fell. At that point, sixteen candles remained lit.
After losing two candles from the candelabra, the housemates once again had to choose two people who would no longer take part in the weekly task.
Just like in the previous "eliminations," task leaders Iñigo and Caprice asked if anyone wanted to volunteer to step down. Reich was the first to raise her hand. When no one else followed, Clifford decided to volunteer next so they wouldn’t waste more time choosing.
Inside the house, Carmelle, Krystal, and Eliza Borromeo chatted about how everyone was doing in the challenge. They remarked that Joaquin is the type who can’t help but talk—“hindi kayang manahimik,” as Eliza described, while Clifford actually showed impressive endurance and focus. If it were up to them, they’d rather remove Joaquin from the task than Clifford, who later in the confession room, told Kuya that he decided to exit because he saw that no one else wanted to.
As another day of their weekly task came to an end, Miguel and Iñigo finally got to experience the pool inside Bahay Ni Kuya for the first time.
The housemates saw them and decided to join in for a spontaneous pool party. The 'Kabataang Pinoy' spirit was so alive as they all splashed, laughed, and enjoyed swimming together for the first time. They even asked Kuya to play the show’s theme song, and once it started blasting, the housemates turned into full-on party mode.
For Waynona Collings, this would be one of her “core memories” inside the house. And with more days ahead, who knows what other memories are waiting to be made?
