Engaging in more talks and challenges, the young stars of “What Lies Beneath,” Mutya Orquia and Krystal Mejes, showcased their dependable sides in the “Lead the Blindfolded” of Kapamilya Chat.
Mutya and Krystal lead each other to complete the puzzle, the series’ official logo, in just one minute. The game also mirrors the show’s flow, with the characters “blindfolded” from the truth about Louisa’s (Mutya) murder.
The first one to be blindfolded was Mutya, who also calmed down a thinking Krystal. “Kalma ka lang,” she reminded her co-star.
With Mutya’s hand securing one puzzle piece, the next steps came faster through Krystal’s straightforward directions. A humorous moment followed when Krystal instructed her to place a piece at the lowest part of the table. Confused, Mutya asked, “Tama ba dito? Bakit ang baba? [Hanggang] dito lang ‘yung table, eh.”
Both actresses became immersed in the game and were hilariously surprised when the staff started the countdown. “Ha?” they said in unison, making everyone laugh. Mutya added, “One minute na ‘yon?”
In the second round of the game, the timer was extended to two minutes. As Krystal prepared to be blindfolded again, Mutya joked, “Bakit ganon?” Host Jeremiah joined in, playfully reminding the actress, “Magkakampi kayo, Mutya.”
Throughout the second round, the placements of the puzzle piece seemed to be fitting better than their first try. With the last piece rotated correctly by Krystal, Mutya teased, “Kapain mo na lang.”
As proof of the pair’s synergy, each piece was already in its proper place a few seconds before the time ran out. “Framing na lang [ng] mga papers,” Mutya said.
After it was accepted as masterpiece, host Jeremiah asked both actresses about their experience with the program’s mini-game. “Fun. I had fun,” Krystal emphasized.
“Ako ‘yung na-stress,” Mutya commented light-heartedly, reenacting the twists and turns they did with the pieces.
Both actresses wrapped up the show with a hug and invited viewers to tune in to “What Lies Beneath.”
