A heated spat ensued among the family of Ponggay (Maris Racal) as they advised her not to dare go after the group of Tanggol (Coco Martin), whom she tagged as criminals and was so vehement to arrest. They feared that her life would be put in danger once she insisted to do so—although it’s part of her job as a policewoman.
Upon learning straight from Mauro (Richard Quan) how he ended up being beaten up by Taruc and his henchmen and being saved by Tanggol and his friends, Ponggay couldn’t help but express her frustration towards him and walked out.
As Mauro scolded Ponggay for disrespecting him as her father, Lola Florie (Perla Bautista) reminded him that it’s only his daughter who earns in their family. Thus, he must humble himself and apologize to her rather than berate her, which Mauro heeded.
Another argument sparked between the father and daughter as their conversation once again veered to Tanggol. As Ponggay asserted that Tanggol and his friends are criminals, Mauro responded that Tanggol may not be really a bad guy, just like how the media has painted him to be. He went on to remind her that he used to be incarcerated, yet he’s not an evil person—just an incompetent dad.
Ponggay reprimanded him for getting himself in trouble over and over again, to which Mauro apologized and promised not to gamble anymore. He then gave her a hug, tried to make her laugh, and invited her to eat supper.
