As the talks about their collective corruption scheme and the anticipated presidential candidacy of Vice Mayor-elect Roberto Guerrero (Albert Martinez) continued, some of the political allies of the Guerreros laid out their respective plans on how they’re going to contribute to the campaign funds they are about to build for him.
Roberto might be initially hesitant to give in to their instigations of running for the highest and most important post in the country, but their allies were able to convince him to say “yes”. This was after they promised him that their family name will not be dragged into this grand, unscrupulous scheme once things will—someday—not go as planned.
A heated argument then sparked between the Guerreros and the Mondragons after Miguelito (Jake Cuenca) demanded an increment in his cut in the budget that will be allotted in the infrastructure project of Manila City—just because Rockyboy (Baron Geisler) pissed him off that night.
As Rockyboy warned Miguelito, “Ang buwaya, kapag busog, madaling mahuli,” Jackie (Angel Aquino) chimed in to remind him that it is the city mayor’s strategy and that it is not them who will be robbed when he requests for a higher kickback.
Brando defended his son by saying that the percentage Miguelito asked for was way too much and nothing would be left for the project anymore since they also have to give the payolas of other personalities involved in the scheme.
Roberto noticed and overheard the seething argument, so he meddled and agreed that Miguelito was indeed asking for too much. Miguelito then went on to say that he doesn’t care how they are going to do the project with a lower budget since he isn’t concerned with his constituents—unlike Rockyboy, who seemed to still have a soft spot for the people.
