Global supergroup BTS took the stage at the first-ever FIFA World Cup final halftime show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The group performed their global hit "Dynamite" during halftime of the championship match between Spain and Argentina. The historic halftime show was produced by Global Citizen. BTS joined a star-studded lineup that also included Madonna, Justin Bieber, Shakira, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and Burna Boy.
Fans quickly took to social media to celebrate BTS' performance.
"Proud of you BTS. Amazing performance," one fan commented.
"YOU DID SO WELL, BTS!!!! WE'RE SO PROUD OF YOU," another fan wrote.
The group recently released its latest single "Normal." The song's music video became the most-streamed K-pop music video within a single day in Spotify history following its premiere on July 17.
BTS debuted the "Normal" music video exclusively on Spotify, where it remained available exclusively for 48 hours. Directed by Tanu Muino, the video offers an intimate glimpse of the members as it follows them through a late-night party and the quiet morning that follows.
"It captures what life looks like for the artists when they’re finally out of the spotlight and taking a moment for themselves," Spotify said in a press release.

BTS is currently headlining its Arirang world tour. The group will bring the tour to the Philippines for three shows on March 13, 14, and 16, 2027.
BTS last performed as a group in the country on May 6 and 7, 2017, for BTS Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour in Manila at the Mall of Asia Arena. Before that, the group staged BTS Live On Stage: Epilogue in Manila at the same venue on July 30, 2016.
BTS first met its Filipino fans during BTS Live Trilogy in Manila: Episode II – The Red Bullet, held at the Mall of Asia Arena on December 7, 2014.
More recently, BTS member j-hope returned to Manila in April 2025 for his Hope on the Stage concert.
